So Top 5 > Extra Credits?

Extra credits is incredibly pretentious so I for one, am glad for this change.

It could also be where there are no new eps, people keep clicking the last available ep in order to get to the comments in order to ask "Wheres Lisa" which has been going on for the last month. In turn shooting up the view/post count and making it look more popular.

Easy fix for this... Get a new video, Tomorrow!

This is insanely true. Seriously, the way the comment section for vids is set up, and the way that woman apparently hasn't posted a single thing in...well, a long ass time, this makes a lot of sense.

It's also how the site can confuse hate-comments with high viewings.

I didn't know there was so much Extra Credits hate. I for one like listening to a more formal analysis of the industry at large, and I also like listening to a goof-ball top five list with some silly jokes thrown in.

But then again, I also don't wish death upon The Jimquisition, so I'm clearly not the majority.

Considering I don't really care for EC - and that's putting it kindly, then sure.

Yeah, I'd say Top 5 and Extra Credits have about the same amount of brains in execution, if not in concept.

And at least Top 5 is not pretending to be super-ingsightful.

And I pretty much couldn't have said it better than this if I tried.

I don't even think she's that hot. I watched one episode of Top 5 and was annoyed out of my mind.

Extra Credits, on the other hand, is easily one of the best shows on the Escapist.

I just noticed today that the Top 5 has supplanted Extra Credits as the second highlighted show on The Escapist's sidebar. Am I right in assuming that the Top 5 with Lisa whatsherface gets better views than Extra Credits?

That sucks.

The placement on the escapist's sidebar has nothing to do with the show's ratings. In fact, I remember I hit it with my axe use to be up near Zero Punctuation. The Sidebar is just there to give people a direct link to the show, their order does not matter.

As an avid fan of both, sometimes you just need some light entertainment instead of constant information, a la Extra Credits. Also, I think this might belong in Off-Topic a bit more than gaming.

Extra Credits is great if I haven't been to a lecture in the past couple of hours. If so, I just can't take it.

I completely agree with you on that. Exam time is the worst time to watch Extra Credits.
