...you could add anything into history. By this I mean that this thing has existed since the beginning of time, it doesn't change history, so everything that has ever happened, happens but this was there, I hope I managed to explain this well enough.

Personally I'd have dinosaurs, dinosaurs would improve history ten fold. World war 1, with dinosaurs! The Olympics, with dinosaurs! The ice age, with dinosaurs!

So how about you, if you could add anything what would it be? Robots? Pirates? Lasers? Kittens? Nyan cat? What!

Time Machines.

Heh. No way that CAN'T change history.

And they do exist.

Natural ones do exist.
They're called Black Holes.

Technically, they're not really time machines, as you can only go one direction. You'll go slower relative to the rest of the universe, but you're still moving forward in time.

Plus you'll also have to deal with getting out of said black hole for it to matter at all.

And how do you know that they distort spacetime in such a way that it is traversable?
From what I can remember, a black hole is merely a star, collapsed into a very small area. You're no closer to time travel when you get pulled into a black hole than when you fall onto the sun.

If you want to say it pulls you to speeds faster than light, that's physically impossible unless you absolutely lose all mass at some point.

More implementation of Tesla patents, particularly his efficient and underknown ones, like the Bladeless Turbine.

Instead of having basically fan blades that chop through the motive fluid, it has a set of parallel discs that move via the friction and adhesion of the fluid. Its the simplest rotary motor ever devised.

How can we be sure? I've heard it too, but I'm doubting it until we get more proof.

On Topic: I'd add a zombie. Just one, in Manhattan, during the 1920's, wait for the infection to spread, and then I'd promptly begin acting like I was from the era and get a resistance force composed of Elliot Ness (He was around that time, right? I forget, heh)and several other random chaps to fight off the zombies.

Why?

Just for something to do.

What you talkin bout no dinosaurs? I got a bunch chirping outside my window. Don't you shit on my car you damn dinosaurs!

But I digress, I would not have wanted the space race to stop. It was only 12 years from the launch of Sputnik to Apollo 11. It's been 42 years since Apollo 11.......

I could totally go for an entity that is imobile and can't interact with the outside world on its own that consists of the collective minds of every human to have lived.

Use a time machine to go back to before you added time machines to try and but in teleportation machines and just teleport out of the black holes!

Go with me on this one.

Jeans.
Oh how the past would be a better place if everyone had good trousers to wear.
