So what's the story behind YOUR avatar pic?

Mine is currently Peter Capaldi's face over Agent 47's on the Hitman: Blood Money cover art.
Ever since Peter Capaldi was announced as the next Doctor (12 by name, 13 chronologically for those unfamiliar with Doctor Who and/or in the future), my cousin and I have been putting his face on everything. Agent 47, Jessica Nigri, Jenna Coleman, a Dalek, marijuana buds, a shark. Whenever we think of it, it gets done. This is just one of my favorites.

This is a scene from a videogame called Danganronpa. I will avoid spoilers as to what the scene actually is, but know that it was enhanced for March Mayhem thanks to this wonderful person named Caramel Frappe. Now that I'm playing Grandia and Dragon Quest 8 again, I'll probably either ask of him to do a rotating dance between Jessica and Yangus, or ask him to do the infinte loop that was Puffy and Sue's "Rah-Rah Cheer". Not having my old hard drive kinda sucks, but then, thunderstorms can do that do hard drives every once in awhile. u.u

(Also, if my avatar isn't something strange or slightly WTFish, I feel I am not living up to my name.)

Now was as [user]Kross[/user] turns all our Avatars into Grumpy Cat or the current Justin Beiber, to troll us in a Avatar themed thread lol.

I actually DARE Kross to change everyone's avatar to either Yahtzee dancing in his boxers(?) with eyes on them OR something adorable or strange dancing in a weird fashion. Just as a goof, ya know. Data dancing from MegaMan Legends works, as well.

I've kept mine for the last seven years. It depicts "Dude", the protagonist from the game Full Pipe. The game itself is an obscure point and click adventure by a zany Russian cartoonist called Ivan Maximov. It used to be one of the first games available on Steam, but tends to disappear off and on the market.
I picked it coz I like the game, and because I like the way Dude appears to be looking perplexed by the above post.

TRIVIA TIME: In Russian the title is a pun - "Polnaya truba"/Full Pipe roughly means "[the situation is] totally messed up".

He's planning something alright. Whenever a thread gets 6+ pages, he sometimes visits. Whenever they're really going far, he'll use his illegal tech magic to turn all our Avatars into something .. . .. or just ban us. Yep, banning happens sometimes lol.

I've always wondered if, instead of saying "Username was warned/suspended/banned for this post", they could make it say something like "Username will not receive waffles for this post" or something else silly like that. Oh well, time (and perhaps mischievous machinations) will tell.

My previous one was a picture of myself in Lisbon's Hard Rock Cafe with Emil from Nier's head, with a rainbow striped overlay to celebrate the gay marriage ruling in America (which happened to be the same day as my birthday).

I was on a Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood kick and thought to myself, "hey this Al possessed by Pride pic looks pretty cool, lets use it!"

The avatar itself is pretty simple. It was the Ninja image in the escapists database.

The story behind the name is different though.

I was trying to decide on a new handle for a webiste, I think it was a roleplaying site for White Wolf games. But I just randomly picked two words that sounded funny and incongruous with each other. A Happy Ninja, you don't see those very often. The 42 for obvious reasons, and because I've learned over the years, that any handle that is "already taken" on a website that I go to, if I slap the ultimate answer to life the universe and everything on it at the end, it works just fine.

Then, I started reading Dr. McNinja, and developed a backstory for it. Given the Inverse Ninja Law, and how that factored into a particular story arc in that comic, I decided my handle was one of an Army of Mook Ninjas, who were attacking a Heroic Badass. We were of course slaughtered down, but as we got fewer in numbers, we grew stronger, Highlander style. Until Ninja 42 was now the Sole Survivor of the Mook Army, which let him Take a Level in Badass, and thus defeat the Heroic Badass. Now, he wears his number to honor his fallen brethren, and Walks the Earth.

That's my avatar's story.

My picture is of my Sith Inquisitor character from TOR. His name is Zafihltwo because I had to change his name from Zafihl when the game told me I had to change it due to some server BS. He's a full dark side character, and he feels nothing but contempt for the weak and incompetent. Both his arms are prosthetic, and the helmet I got for him is the skull of a large humanoid figure that's been adorned with tribal markings and black feathers. The brutality of it all seems to fit my metalhead tastes
