So when it comes to moral choices, are you good or evil?

Since I happen to tend more to old school tabletop games than videogame RPGs (mainly because my PC can't handle half of the decent ones), I'd have to say I'm usually Neutral Good, and occasionally Lawful Good if I get tired to everything being easy to justify. On the off day that I do play a CPU game like Oblivion that decently lets you roleplay, I generally stick to the good side (though, in Oblivion it is almost impossible to beat the game with no crimes, since you get an assault for anything beyond breathing the air someone is in).

Always tend to be good the first time, evil the second. Sometimes even then I have trouble because the "evil" choice is kitten-stompingly evil.
Maybe I'm a wimp, but if I had infinite amounts of time, money, and patience I probably would be as "good" as you can be in some of these games, at least for people that were really in trouble anyway.
Though I will admit that the evil option can be awfully cathartic after a long day.

Usually good, though on a few occasions some NPC's really need a bullet to the head. And if im saving the world, im not stealing, im putting their resources to work for the greater good. =) I will always avoid killing innocent people in games, makes me feel dirty otherwise.

You guys ever play black and white? some how my pet would always be almost pure white holy, and my hand would the most disfigured evil looking thing. Probably because i had little patience for those that worshiped other gods.

Yeah, I also hate how the choices of "good or evil" are either become Hitler, or become a doormat loser. There's no goddamn middle ground!

So, yep. My choice is usually the doormat option.

I usually come out as light good; because most games don't have a Chaotic Good. I usually just respond to how i'd deal with a situation. If the game feels empty though i always enjoy making an alt and burning the town down with soul rending dark magic.

I can't help but be good. Even on games where the ending can be completely different for being evil, when I actually try it and look at the options available to me, I usually can't bring myself to be the bad guy.

I'm a good guy when it comes to story choices, because one, the characters I save could prove useful later, and two, because I usually get better stuff for being good.

Take Fallout 3 for example, the Riley's Rangers quest I could have killed Riley or something, but I didn't, and got like a million caps afterwards because I gave her all the locations on the map. That might not be the best example, but it is an example. =P

I play very chaotically. I.E. Fable, I have a tendency to slay all the people in a town so I can buy the buildings, then rent them out to whoever comes to repopulate. Then while walking between paths I save travellers from anything that might attack them, and often donate to the good church (whilst slaying the cultists).

Then I do my sexy hero pose.

I play every game like this though, I don't really care to play a "good" or "evil" character, I just play by how I feel.

I usually play evil, but only because I hate dealing with NPCs and all their crap

ex: I have what you need here in my pocket next to my fragile organs, but if you want it I need a favor done.
ex: 'helping' npcs by giving them my healing items. I need these to save the UNIVERSE, I killed the monsters now get limpin back to town.
ex: escort quest RAGE!

I'd rather chop some faces off and take what I need

If the plot is well done, I'll give it a second go as good.

Evil, unless the game manages to make me feel bad for being so....then good.

That's when I know the karma system works in a game.

Then again nothing comes close to how well FO series handled it.

Usually good, mostly because evil includes either killing recurring NPCs (removing any chance of getting anything good from them later) or unmitigated horribleness ("If you're so evil, eat this kitten!"). I tend to go "selfcentered good"- in Oblivion I'm a paragon of justice with a house full of shoplifted junk.

Because games are games I am usualy both evil and good, in that order. If it is a choice I go evil because hell sound more fun. I'm going to blow more smoke up ME2's arse but I like the way they have done the good/evil choices. You can do what you want and at the end it tells how good and evil you were which means that you can also have a sort of middle ground although the choices themselves make you look like either a "Heavenly cherub" or "Saten spawn" However to unlock parts of conversation you have to be completely evil or good which is a down side.

Mostly though I am evil. (Probably to make up for the fact that I am an overly caring person in real life)

I play a good character with some dark edges. basically, i do whatever i would do in real life. Im not going to slaughter millions needlessly, but if someone has shot and killed a child, you'd best believe he will die for it. (for some reason doing that is "evil")

I play mainly good. Anytime I try to do anything evil, my conscience comes around and slaps me in the face.
