Not yet. Planning on buying a PS3 soon to clean up on the exclusives I've missed. This is actually one of the reasons I'm buying said PS3. Along with Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD
The download is about 6.3 GB.XSTALKERX said:How big is it, you know like how many GB do I have to download?
It's like a GREAT 'Zelda' game, but better than most/half of the LoZ games that have ever come out.Jynthor said:Can someone convince me to buy it? I keep hearing it's great but have no idea why.
Well then it's a good thing Okami isn't a shooter, huh?Vrach said:Looks interesting (love that it was redone in HD, I do have an aversion for very graphically aged games, even when they're games I love), might get it, but it'll be a while. Does PSN have holiday discounts like Steam?
Just got a PS3, bought it from a mate, so still got a big list of games I very much definitely want to buy (I heard great stuff about Okami and it'll definitely make the list, just got other priorities first). Journey, Heavy Rain, Ico and SoTC pack are my first three priorities atm.
I'm still getting used to the PS3 controls though. The controller is just awful to me for 3D games atm (which is really annoying because control ranks pretty high up on my list of issues with games). Got the hang of it for Mortal Kombat easily, played some Little Big Planet and I'm doing fine, but firing up something like Resident Evil 5 (not a game of choice, mate gave me his games when I bought the PS3 and I wanted to try co-op with my gf), I felt absolutely hopeless. Aiming a weapon? I feel like I'd rather take a set of levers to pull than a gamepad.
Are USB mouse and keyboard an option for the PS3? I heard you could use them with some games, so I'd like to try, but not sure how well they work/if all games are compatible etc. I'd like to get used to the controller, I really would (used to play GTA 3 on a PS), but it just feels hopeless to me for any shooters.
I'm actually really surprised but just how much better the game looks.Exius Xavarus said:Well then it's a good thing Okami isn't a shooter, huh?Vrach said:Looks interesting (love that it was redone in HD, I do have an aversion for very graphically aged games, even when they're games I love), might get it, but it'll be a while. Finally got to play it. And it's every bit as beautiful as it always was, and even better! Okami HD doesn't look like the standard HD upgrade. It certainly looks like more of an upgrade than what the Shadow of the Colossus/ICO Collection got.
Also, I don't think the $20 price tag is entirely unfounded. Okami is gargantuan with so much to do and see. It's well worth the money and I regret not a dime I spent.

Add to it an AMAZING visual style, solid game play, and a pretty enjoyable OST.
For the PS2 is was an amazing experience, a game out of 400+ I own, that actually gets replayed.
It's also this is one of those RARE games that I bought for the Wii, and actually played.
Okami, at least the PS2/Wii versions, tend to end up in my "Top 10 Games You Should Play, Even If You're Not a Gamer".
