So, would you have done the same?

A camel spider is more closely related to scorpions than spiders ironically. It's a solifugae.
That actually quite surprises me.

I really do like Scorpions but that Camel Spider scared the living crap out of me, it was quite possibly the ugliest creature i've laid eyes on.

Who am I to end lives without reason? Depends on the creature. If it's something harmless, like a jumping spider, I'll let it live. Afterall, they're cute and eat flies.

If it's something that could actually pose harm to someone, such as a wasp or recluse spider, I have no sympathy.

Nope, can't stand spiders. I'd like to think i have a few good excuses:

-I live in Australia

-At the age of three I had the displeasure of pulling out a favourite picture book of mine only to find a red-backed spider (fun fact: not all red-backs actually have red backs depending on age, gende and habitat. This partciular little fucker had a white back, but trust me, it was a red-back...mindfuck) had spun a web all over it, and thus proceeded to chase me out of my own damn room

-They're poisonous, ugly, disgusting creatures and they almost killed Harry and Ron in the chamber of secrets

If I see a spider, I either kill it or run the other way.

I loathe spiders. All of them. Regardless of size, type or location.

I don't care if you're a magical, adorable, wish granting spider from the land of chocolate and rainbows- if you show your face in my house, I will murder you without a moments hesitation.

I have a mild arachnophobia in a way that spiders give me the creeps, even when I just look at the picture (and I tend to avoid touching the picture... It might make the spider come to life, or something). However, I do try to leave spiders alone. They are useful as they catch flies and other shit insects and they usually stay in their webs and do nothing. Recently I even noticed that I'm not that scared of them as I used to be and recently I let a little spider that jumped on me, walk on my hand. I do have to be careful though, we have black widows around in my area, but other spiders are generally okay. I would've done the same and let the spider go :D Once, I had one spider in the bathroom for months, he was chilling there, doing his spider business and I got him a name and everything. One day he just wasn't there anymore, though :(

I try to be tolerant to other tiny beings, however, centipedes are my doom. As much as I'd like to let them go, I can't as they freak the hell out of me. I kill them, pay my respects and flush the toilet, hoping they ended up in some bug paradise.

Also, for bug/spider/reptile lovers, check out this guy's [http://blepharopsis.deviantart.com/gallery/] photos. He makes them all look so cute and pretty (and innocent).

They are!

Here, look at this beauty [http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/cb/NephilaClavipesSideView_4161.JPG]! Check out her colours and patterns [http://frank.itlab.us/spider_2002/large/nephila_clavipes.jpg] and those comedy-gold knee tufts. How can you dislike something that beautiful that isn't significantly venomous and eats cockroaches? What more do you want, birdsong?

Kill it, no question. I get a number of spider bites that undoubtedly happen when I'm asleep - its on!

Strange, I find that guy to be fine. Though, I'd probably freak out if I saw it somewhere in my house. I'll try to appreciate them more, one day. Now, I'm moving slowly towards it with smaller specimens. Maybe I get another bathroom pet spider! I'm sure I'm over the spider-killing phase, that was just mean.

nope. I'm cold hearted and just kind of kill on sight. Though I would have researched it later on
