So, would you have done the same?

I believe in spirit guides, so I'd have done the same, yes. I've had to remove spiders that didn't even fit in the palm of my hand without the legs coming through my fingers before.
I've always been interested in the idea of spirit guides. Care to explain?

I have several daddy long legs spiders in my bathroom and laundry room. I like to think that we have a non-verbal agreement. They don't bite me or go near my things when I need to use my things, I don't murder their children and make them watch.

I leave them alone generally, but if they're near my desk they're sentenced to death for trespassing.

I usually leave spiders alone, as they're good for keeping REAL pests away, but my sister has the most colossal phobia of them, so I usually have to escort them out of the house.

I always try to save the spiders, but if the spider is being a little ***** and won't let me rescue it then it goes one of two ways: 1) if it's in an inconvient place, it dies or 2) I leave it alone.

Sometimes I just let the spider chill and during the winter I just leave'em alone. I wouldn't want someone to shove me outside during the winter with no protective gear, so why would I do it to the poor spider?

On the other hand I have a fear of flying insects, so moths die everytime they enter my house. Stupid moths.

I would have gotten a broom and swept the spider out of my house, but if it tried to bite me then I would try to kill it.

Maybe it's due to my mum's arachnophobia influencing me as I grew up, but whenever I see a spider indoors I go out of my way to kill it.

EDIT: As soon as I saw the term "hobo spider" I immediately imagined a spider using one leg to carry a bindle over it's... thorax, I guess... and wearing a top hat with a large hole in the top. Anyone else or is it just me?

I'm all about karma, I usually trap them in a glass and release them outside.

I don't kill spiders. I guess I always figured they were different from other bugs. The webs they make, the mythology around them- I set them free. Any other bugs I also try to set free. The only bugs I'd ever kill without a second thought are roaches, mosquitos and flies. I even try to set bees outside.

I've done the same basic thing. If there are frogs in my pool i take them to the brook near my house. And today, My brother found a baby mouse this morning and was having me feed it and I was going to take it to a pet store nearby so they could take care of it ( maybe they'll have a nursing mouse) but my mom flushed it down the toilet. Because she thinks drowning is a humane way to kill blind babies

I would've killed it. After all, since it spotted you, it was now probably hunting you.

I'll bet it still is, your act of generosity will only be repayed with coldblooded spider-murder.

When I see a spider in the bathroom I become toilet brush ninja and bash it to death.

When my brother or dad aren't around, I don't go near them. Only the big ones with fat bodies, though - the others I can handle (I even think the ones with tiny bodies and long, thin legs are weirdly elegant). I know they're not dangerous, but they're fucking ugly and I refuse to be within 10 feet of one.

I love spiders. I always save them if they get caught in my bath. I hate it when people kill them.

I used to leave spiders alone. Then I spent a few nights in Bolivia, and woke up with spider bites all over my legs and arms. After that I just went on a killing spree, making sure none of them would ever be in my room again. Those bites and marks stayed for 3-4 months.
