weeeeeeeeell, i'd like to say i walk right up to her and tell her. i'd like to, but i cannot say i do that without lying. social interactions are terrifying enough without me making a huge leap like that. the only times i've ever told a girl, it was after weeks of planning and growing a pair. and then i felt stupid a few times, as a few weeks into the relationship she tells me she was waiting for me to do so, to which i respond "it's the twenty first fucking century. you could have said something."

...Anyway, definitely face to face, just the way I got together with my boyfriend. I once had a guy ask me if I had any plans on Valentine's through a text, and I actually felt quite affronted. I didn't really like him that way in the first place, and the fact that he would do it in such a way was just baffling to me. I wouldn't even think for a second of asking someone on a first date through a text, or even a phone call. Face-to-face is the ONLY way to do something like that. The only excuse for not doing so is if you're on different continents.

EDIT 1: Also, for the ladies out there, if your heterosexual, tell us about lads instead

face to face unless its someone that is hard to tell face to face and doesn't have a webcam or anything. unless its a girl i work with and then i just keep it to myself and don't get involved.

Probably the weaker man here, The only way ive ever asked a girl out is by using a game of origami yes or no. one messenger paper pigeon, a green dove for yes, and a sad blue penguin for no. After that i would pretty much kept emotions like that bottled up, or release them and translate them into other forms. The only reason im in a relationship right now is because the girl im dating has big enough brains and balls too know i like her, and that im bad at social situations.... she pinned me into a corner and forced me to ask her out after spilling my guts out... it was awesome.
