If he trys to remake wiz of oz, I will personally hunt him down and beat his leg in with a metal funnel. Then sick my small black dog on him. Then tell yahtzee to go after him
we like some of his work but he has been known to piss on a classic as well as make them. but I woudn't know if it was good or bad unless I watch it. I my opion though it wasn't that bad, more mediocre.Wakizashi74 said:If you don't like Tim Burton, then don't watch his films.
But with Uwe Boll everyone knows his films aren't worth the DVD they come on, whereas Burton continues to slash through classical films with a 'gothic' machete and his minions of fanboys behind him!SpaceSpork said:So you want to stop a filmmaker, that I think we can all agree has made good films, while Uwe Boll is still loose?!? BULLSHIT!
Someone call the pope, in case it actually happens we need to get this guy a saint status!RamirezDoEverything said:If he trys to remake wiz of oz, I will personally hunt him down and beat his leg in with a metal funnel. Then sick my small black dog on him. Then tell yahtzee to go after him
It's not 'Through the Looking Glass' either. I think it's supposed to be set after both of them, I'm not entirely sure where it was trying to fit in.Carlston said:This wasn't Alice in wonderland.
This was Through the looking Glass if you read the book. And it was more dark than the happy stoner disney story. But even that was a shroo trip by the writer. Sorry man, that was a pretty good movie, but Through the looking glass is a bit to long.
Well he and M.Night have made good movies it's just that it's all becoming old.(twists & darkness)cuddly_tomato said:*Golf Claps*
Well said op, I agree.
As I have said before...

...Tim Burton is not the director he once was. He, along with Michael Bay, Uwe Boll, M. Night Shaymayalananlayn, should have his film making equipment removed and UN weapons sent to his home to confirm that he isn't deveoping any more WMTs (Whatchamacallits).

Those are both Henry Sellick movies. Burton wrote the story that Nightmare was based on and was a co-producer, but he didn't have anything at all to do with Coraline.igissx said:OK i will admit that after Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissor hands, Tim Burton hasnt made one amazingly good movie, other then his astonishingly good Animated films (i love Coraline And The NightMare Before Christmas) But i have to admit, he is still an amazing director with his sense of style being unqiue if not gothic...
Yeah it's fine if he wants to make his own concepts in that style but why must he go for classic films and make them spirally? I await Citizen Kane...in stripes.Hyperactiveman said:I loved the "classic" or more like the "real" version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... He killed it, even the oompa loompas.
I got no problem with him making movies... Just no remakes... Use your creativity man!
Alice in Wonderland was good and disappointing at the same time.Colour-Scientist said:So I went to see 'Alice in Wonderland', directed by Tim Burton, a couple of weeks ago with low expectations and it was pretty awful. It did make alot of monies though so now he's being considered for a remake of 'The Wizard of Oz'. He just makes everything spirally and "dark". Now I'm quite biased as I haven't really liked one of his films since 'Sleepy Hollow' but I don't want him to piss all over 'The Wizard of Oz' too.
Do people agree or am I missing something?
I've never seen the Wizard of Oz so the only way I would go see it would be if Tim Burton remade it. Twisted, dark - keep it coming!!Colour-Scientist said:So I went to see 'Alice in Wonderland', directed by Tim Burton, a couple of weeks ago with low expectations and it was pretty awful.
