Nothing Compares 2 U always gets me in a depressed state of wall stare-age every time, I can't say I've cried at any of them. But O'Connor's the closest here.

Non, crying over a song is just strange.
Real men don't cry, ever.
So real men to not show emotions?
How... cowedly.
OT: It's because it was used as a funeral song for someone close to me.
Of course men can show emotions. It's just crying that I dislike, for me crying is just a thing people do to get sympathy. If you don't like something change it. And crying over a song doesn't make sense to me, a song can make me feel down but that only make me want to make things better. Crying over a song is like saying life sucks and I'm gonna go sit in a corner.
Crying doesn't always equal sitting in a corner boohoo-ing. It doesn't even have to equal sadness. Sometimes it's just a tear over a memory, or over a thought that just moves you.

I'm a guy and
"Don't You Forget About Me" always makes me cry.

also any thing by Justin Bieber
but for a different reason that's much closer to
"Oh my god, why is he still alive?"

Probably Blue, the song that plays at the end of Cowboy Bebop series.
Well that's pretty sad but only because of the context it is used in.
have you also considered the context that the other songs are used in.
Well I doubt they are all movie songs or that they are all accompanied by the saddest thing in animation ever. Dunno.
Why yall honkies gettin in my grill, yo?

The Band Played Waltzing Matilda by The Pogues (These would be Anzac Day/Remembrance day tears)
Paul Kelly and Kev Carmody doing From Little Things Big things Grow (Tears of hope for humanity)
and Paul Kelly's Maralinga (Rainy Land) (Tears or rage and anger at the past).

Oh and Blue (You're a good dog), you know the one. It reminds me of all my dead pets.

Well, out of the songs on that list, "The Drugs Don't Work" would be the one that effects me the most emotionally. It was doing the rounds at a certain time which affected the whole family, an event for which some of the lyrics of the song fit very well.

Not that the song isn't depressing enough in it's own right....

Tears in Heaven didn't bother me until I knew what it was about... but even then it's not really that moving a song to me.

I don't think a song has moved me to tears, although there are some songs that trigger nostalgia - depending on how sad or awesome the event was that I have experienced will influence how I feel about the song.

My wife can't listen to Stairway to Heaven anymore because it was played at her mother's funeral about 3 years ago. It might be a cliche funeral song, but it was also her mother's favourite song.

If I recall, I think Hallelujah was played at my grandfather's funeral, but listening to it doesn't make me cry. The song is too hopeful for me to feel sad.

I think that's the thing too... some songs are sad or based on a sad idea, but are at the same time so powerful that they awaken the inner optimist.

I've never heard a song that made me cry.

This song still makes me cry. Maybe because it reminds me of how much I wish I could come home to my girl...

Some Radiohead stuff makes me cry at times.

"I'd tell all my friends
But they'd never believe
They'd think that I'd finally lost it completely

I'd show them the stars
And the meaning of life
They'd shut me away
But I'd be all right
All right..

I'm just uptight
Uptight.."

Goddamn the entire Ok Computer album is beautiful.

Howdy all, The theme to Goose's death in the movie "Top Gun" always makes me a bit sad, and for the well-duh one, Aeris's death song from FFVII...yeah...that screwed me up real good

List of songs that have made me cry:
Never Went to Church - The Streets

For those who don't know it,

For a little context my mother was in brain surgery having a tumor removed over 400km away (~250 Mi). I was 16.

I had this song stuck in my head as I walked back to my apartment after I watched my ex-wife get in the taxi to take her to the airport and permanently out of my life. It doesn't have nearly the effect on me it used to, but there was a period for a few months where I'd crack if I heard it.
