NO IT HASENT. My point being is not the "SPEED" that he ran its the fact that the point of the game (of course to me) was that you KEPT running, jumping to avoid obsticals, kill bad guys, get rings, and other items that KEPT you RUNNING! That was the point to me was to KEEP MOVING! At the beginning of Sonic 3 and after it got to damn MAZY. You were dealing to much with figuring out the RIGHT way to go as apposed to running DIFFERENT paths and seeing where it took you.

Adventure 2 was the last decent one, the gimmicky crap aside the real killer was the camera.

By the way this is from someone who got every medal in that dam game, can't tell you how many times had to restart cause camera decided to have a seizure right when your hauling ass. ugh

You know, a lot of people say that speed is the point of the Sonic games, but Sonic 3, the game most people point to when asked to define the perfect Sonic title, is pretty damn slow. Most of the game is spent jumping, climbing, zip-lining and otherwise stopping to do something other than, you know, move quickly. Just saying.

Anyways, different strokes for different folks. Sonic 3 and the latest 3D Sonic games are so fundamentally different that it's ludicrous to expect any similarities whatsoever. It's like comparing Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Party. Yeah, they're similar in the respect that they feature some of the same characters, but...
