Nah, I think you could move the order around a bit, as long as you keep the core concept viable.n03s said:Really this shit is very annoying..
Fuck Sony..
Fuck the hackers..
and fuck all the fanboys.. in the ass..
In this precise order..
*sigh* I hear yah buddy. I'm not even eyeing an Xbox. I have borrowed my cousin's on a few occasions to rock some of that sweet, sweet Gears of War, and I have to say, the Xbox Live community is shit, for the most part. Being a dickhead is like their main obsession, it seems. I prefer the PSN, where there are fewer people using mics in general, and those that do seem to understand,(in greater numbers), why people acting like dicks on the mic should just switch off. Like I said, I'm not even eyeing an Xbox. If the PSN pulls a Dreamcast on me, I'm going back to PCs.Corporal Yakob said:Nearly 3 weeks!?! I CAN'T TAKE MUCH MORE OF THIS!!!
If that game store was in an area where arson was prevalent, and they had done things to piss off said arsonists, then yes, yes I would.Akalabeth said:I'm amazed at how many morons in this thread are blaming Sony for this and NOT the hackers who brought this network down in the first place. If someone firebombed your favourite Gamestore would you blame the store for not having adequate security? Or would you blame the retard who threw a molotov cocktail through the window?
Seriously.
Hey, me too! Its a thankless job, you work long hours and generally the pay is shitty unless you work for a big organization.Mechanix said:This just makes me scared.....I'm going to college soon and I plan to have a career in network security. It's now I realize just how much responsibility is going to be on my shoulders, and how much shit I'm going to take if something goes wrong. And yet, when everything goes right, no one notices.
Yeah thats probably the reason. I haven't used my ps3 for much more than a BluRay player for a while now so I've missed a bunch of updates for pretty much everything I own.rmb1983 said:Honestly, no matter anyone's stance on whether they like Sony or not, at this point, I find it hard to imagine anyone disagreeing with that statement (the portion I bolded, at least).KefkaCultist said:*sigh* I really hope the hacker(s) responsible for this are found and punished heavily. At first I wasn't upset about PSN being down because I figured it would be down for only a week or two, but this is getting ridiculous. This isn't only affecting my online games either. I went to play Dragon Age Origins today thinking it would be fine since its single player, but I can't play because trophy information cannot load and it exits the game...
I have two things to say to the hacker(s): I hate you and go die in a fire.
Odd about your situation with DA:O, though. Is it possible you haven't played it since the last time they've released DLC (since those add Trophies of their own)? Mine works just fine, but it's up-to-date circa DAII's launch. Oddly enough, Bionic Commando re-loads its Trophy data every time it fires up, but works just fine for some reason or another. In any case, I just hit Platinum on it last night, and hoped to give Borderlands a go in the meantime...I was a bit concerned because I haven't popped it in in a full year, but even though there was a game update, it downloaded it and started just fine, as well.
Seems almost situational, I guess. I AM playing an Ultimate Edition copy (and as I said, is fully patched, etc) of DA:O, though, so that may or may not have some impact on it; hence why I asked about the DLC situation.
I'm pretty sure the folks who made the new Socom are pretty pissed off right now, they've made an exclusive ps3 multiplayer based game that noone can play, must have lost a bunch of sales.Fappy said:Does anyone know if any AAA releases have been delayed to coincide with PSN's return? I would imagine that a game heavily reliant on online play would prefer to wait for PSN to be available before it launched.
Actually the XBL community doesnt use the mic that much, it used to for 2/3 years after its release but now most players dont bother to use the mic or are playing in parties with private conversations.VonBrewskie said:*sigh* I hear yah buddy. Meh, Naughty Dog is fine, they make single player games at heart and have only recently tacked on multiplayer.Sabinfrost said:I'm getting frustrated and feeling sorry for the great devs at Sony like Naughty Dog who are going to feel this... They don't deserve this.
Uncharted 2 is quite popular online actually, but you're right, it will sell regardless of online capabilities. I was more referring to the lack in faith in Sony driving customers away, honestly, this debacle has the potential to destroy Sony in the west. Companies hardware divisions have died from less. I don't think it will, personally, but at the very least the bad taste will be in customers mouths for a while. The industry wont forget this in a hurry.Mister Benoit said:Meh, Naughty Dog is fine, they make single player games at heart and have only recently tacked on multiplayer.Sabinfrost said:I'm getting frustrated and feeling sorry for the great devs at Sony like Naughty Dog who are going to feel this... Look at Zipper Interactive, they just released the new Socom game which had hype for it's multiplayer which noone can now play, also they made MAG which had mediocre sales and is online only.
Publishers and Developers are going to think twice before releasing exclusive Sony online based games from now on regardless of how this turns out.
I would go so far as to say that they are the best at terrible PR.Hybridwolf said:Honestly? you go from not enough news to too much bad news. This whole situation could have been downplayed if handled properly, but lets face it, Sony aren't the best at hiring decent PR people.
