anybody remember Enter the Matrix? That type of game/movie blending could have some new potential like this.

Sony can do no right in the eyes of some of you, everything they do

"Oh way to miss the mark"

"Oh how boring"

"Oh why would they bother"

your not an Unreleasable Fanbase, your an Unreleasable Hatebase!

We get it! You hate Sony and everything it stands for, you all made it CLEAR the last 50 times Sony announced something.

Sony could announce a cure for cancer, world peace and Light Speed cosmic travels, WITH GIANT ROBOTS and you would STILL act as though they did a bad thing!!!
Omni loose the giant robot stiffy. You are right though.

A lot of people are saying the new Wanted game is actually quite good.
All the gameplay footage ive seen looks really awkward, not to mention the graphics are just ugly.

We had a multiple bluray batman set,(justone movie). That's ridiculous even with X hours of bonus content how do you have 3 bluray disc worth of stuff

This could work, so long as the movies are tied into the game. I loved the story of Valkyria Chronicles, if this tech had existed last year they could have added some post-chapter 17 content in the movies. It also has the possibility to resurface interest in an old game by adding Blu-Ray extras.

A lot of people are saying the new Wanted game is actually quite good. What it takes to make these games good seems to be just more time. If we could get these things to become the norm, it would mean that studios aren't working for the movies premiere, but for the Blu-Ray release, it could add definite quality to the game.
The Wanted game was honestly the first thing I thought about. If they added the movie too the game I would buy it, as I have yet to actually buy the movie.

It looked like, at worst, it would require you play in a different style than you would other TPS's. I agree with you on the graphics, but poor graphics does not make a game bad.

The blind fire to build up "special" meter so you can zip from cover to cover was strange. Also the curve bullet system looked a bit janky as well as useless (at least in the 2 level runthoughs i saw). Did you see the "boss" fight (and the ensuing dialogue)? It was just awful, the lame attempt at a wisecracking wesley just failed miserably.
Did you notice a few times the AI just standing there looking at you, or the cinematic knife kills there was just the same animation over and over?
I shall be surprised if it turns out decent.

Sony trying to cram Blue Ray further down our throats. Wonderful.

Just come one and say it, Sony. Blue ray is a pointless format cooked up to try and get everyone to re-purchase their DVD collections. Bad Sony!

I agree, why have I got each Ocean's film on a Bluray. Surely, there's enough room for all three films, all extras and Julia Roberts playing herself on one BD.

I think a good application is TV series all being on one BD. I've bought Sarah Conner Chronicles on Bluray but haven't opened it. Maybe that's on one disc.

I can't agree with this. I haven't rebought any dvd's. It's not like the VHS to DVD transition, where the older format became redundant. Technological advancements aren't pointless. We'd all still be playing Game and Watch without them.
What's the problem with Bluray?

Also, maybe this could work in reverse. Say, the next Hitman games Ps3 version comes with the Hitman movie included, arguably the latest good videogame movie (Well I liked what I saw). And God Of War III comes with the God Of War movie (or, if its as its directors track record says, not)
I agree with this. Perhaps an older (pre release of game) movie could be thrown in as an added bonus. That could be a good use for it. Why not have the option. Someone will find a good use for it. Potentially, interact films could become better. Like watching the film ( e.g Bourne Identity escaping the embassy) but having to complete a game sequence to futher the story.

DVD is such a pointless format, VHS is way better. Oh and the new consoles suck anyway because they are better than the old ones!

I personally don't see the point in putting games on the same disc as movies. What function does it serve? Why is this any better than keeping them separate? As the article puts it, this seems more a way to use up left-over space on a game disc than a way to bring a new experience to players/viewers.

I'd love to be wrong on this, but right now this just seems to be another way Sony is justifying the inclusion of Blu-Ray in the PS3... as it's the only platform that could actually make use of this.
