You can play Monster Hunter with a PS3 controller, that's what I do. People can pretend that it has to do with physical media (which is going away whether you like it or not) or the price point (which is the same as a PSP3000 + a 16GB memory stick), but if MH had played well on the thing it would have sold enough to justify its existence and then some.
I have no idea how my daughters hit HR7 (and still climbing) using those things, but I guess that says something about their determination...
