The PSPGo was a failure because it is horribly uncomfortable to play Monster Hunter on it. If it worked for MH, it would have sold a ton in Japan; it doesn't work for MH so it tanked. People can pretend that it has to do with physical media (which is going away whether you like it or not) or the price point (which is the same as a PSP3000 + a 16GB memory stick), but if MH had played well on the thing it would have sold enough to justify its existence and then some.

I have no idea how my daughters hit HR7 (and still climbing) using those things, but I guess that says something about their determination...
You can play Monster Hunter with a PS3 controller, that's what I do. Couldn't be more comfortable :p.

I own a PSP, and skipped the whole DL-gmaes train... so... that's actually a good news for me... so... is PSP dead too? I actually hope they make more PSP games... on memory cards... instead that stupid mini desc thing...

I actually liked the PSPGo. I bought one new for under $200, with 10 free games. That's considerably cheaper than a DSi over here in Australia, even when you don't factor in the free games.

I also found it really convenient to be able to have all your games in one place without having to carry them all around, especially on a console that was actually pocket sized, unlike the DS and the origial PSP. I know I'm in a minority, though.

When I first heard of this I didn't buy it because it had all the capabilities of my current psp with nothing else to show for it plus I wouldn't be able to use games I purchased for the psp on the pspgo. So my answer to the pspgo is that's a no go.

Well, if I can get it cheap enough now, with enough games, I might pick it up.

I still use my 360 HD-DVD on occasion, because I got it with 20 movies for 50 bucks.

I might be an opportunist. Maybe.

The PSPgo was dead the second they announced that Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep was not coming out despite promising us a complete library.
The single reason I bought one really.

So I'm kind of over it, at least I have a 16gig usb drive and a media player to show for my money.

Maybe I'll look into modding it, I can get KH:BBS for like 20$ now if I can get the go to read an img or something.

As an owner of a PSP Go, let me summarize the experience in these words: "very few, old, overprised games".
