Wow. Plenty of Sony hate in here.
What do you expect when they keep pissing on our legs and keep trying to convince us it's raining. 3D I'll buy. They would have planned for it because they didn't design a 3d tv in a couple hours.

So I guess back when they were slamming motion controls at any opportunity, they secretly actually really wanted them? Yeah right Sony. Pull the other one. I do not and will probably never, identify with this company. It's like the sun is supposed to shine out of their USB port.

The Move I wouldn't be surprise if they did have something up their sleeve like that, after all the PSEye camera thing is needed and that came around a year or two after it's release, so yeah, you connect the dots.
This guy here is the reason why I don't agree.

Though it wasn't every opportunity, he has a point. Anyway, I''d be fine with Sony releasing what they want, but the reason they are now on the chopping block is because HIrai keeps opening his mouth when he really shouldn't. Look at his words on the 3DS, motion controls, etc. Just have someone speak for him, it's for the best.

Eh, companies always go back on their word. The creator of Resident Evil 4 said he'd commit Seppukku if RE4 came on another console, Nintendo's Iwata (I think) said that "Gamers don't want online", and Kaz Hirai will always been known as the guy who went "RIIIIIIDGE RAACCCERRRR!!!" I just go with the flow and let them do their thing, whatever happens happens.

Still, the amount of pure hatred from this one tiny interview is pretty pathetic in my humble opinion.

Investing in development and production of consoles is probably horribly expensive, so you're not going to add too much functionality you have no idea of whether or not you will be using it later.
Although, of course, build in everything plus the kitchen sink and then start taking away the features you decide you didn't want (irrespective of whether users wanted them) appears to have been the design philosophy of the PS3 from the beginning.
Yeah, if you want.
You mind if I put this in my siggy for every site I go on?

Well, I don't really hate sony myself, but trying to explain that they aren't copying nintendo is really really sad. Microsoft does it too. I think both Sony and Microsoft should admit that they are copying Nintendo. I mean the first part of getting rid of a problem is admitting it, right?
i think they all need to admit they are copying off everyone else. all 3 are quilty of copying what that others do. its a sign that the person who did it first had a good idea. and it happens in all areas of life, not just with game consoles.

Yeah, but with the game consoles the lieing just seems to get a little out of hand. "We thought of Kinect because it is the future of gaming" or "We prepared our consoles with super high power because we wanted to mske 3D and motion controls with it when we were ready" are pretty sad lies.
