I think, or rather hope, that they focus on the gaming aspect, basically making it a PSP that can access cell networks and do something it already does with Skype.Little Duck said:Didn't something like this already happen called the n-gage.
I'm going to go by the old saying of something that tries to do everything does nothing well. I doubt god of war zeus edition will be so awesome when mum calls you every 5 minutes. Still, we'll see. Personally, I think the hardware should be focused, not it's a games console AND a phone. Just it can be one OR the other and the other aplication can be focused into it, which is partly why the iPhone is as succesful as it is. It's focused around what it wants to be, not and it does this as well as this.
$20 CND says AT&T is already beating down Sony's door with offers.Shynobee said:If this is a 3G device, I would definitely consider picking one up. It also depends on which phone carrier Sony ends up using for the phone service. We'll just have to wait and see...
Idk, AT&T seems to already be in a comfortable position with the iphone... I figure someone else would be trying to get this to compete with AT&TRainboq said:$20 CND says AT&T is already beating down Sony's door with offers.Shynobee said:If this is a 3G device, I would definitely consider picking one up. Fuck no! See, I'm not like everyone else, I remember that cell phones have CONTRACTS. And to get one that allows you that nice 3G connection with enough bandwidth to let you download those shiny games is EXPENSIVE. People ***** about the upcoming $60 a year for Xbox Live Gold, and yet I'm supposed to say "YAY!" to a $40-$60 a MONTH phone bill (and that's probably really low actually) just so I can play the PSP2? Screw that.Greg Tito said:Would you buy a phone that could play PSP games? What about a Nintendo phone/DS hybrid?
wait.....what!? WOOOO! EVERYONE ABOARD THE PSP PHONE TRAIN!the prototype is based on PSP 1 technology, it uses the Android OS, and it is codenamed "Zeus."
I currently use a droid that ALREADY has unlimited data.......so this is really just a plus for me.mjc0961 said:Fuck no! See, I'm not like everyone else, I remember that cell phones have CONTRACTS. If Sony doesn't release a stand-alone PSP2 without the failure of an included phone, it will bomb.
Lol, yeah I could just see that.Rainboq said:$20 CND says AT&T is already beating down Sony's door with offers.Shynobee said:If this is a 3G device, I would definitely consider picking one up. ....Or you could do the SMART thing and just download and transfer your games to the system via MediaGo, thus circumventing any of those costs. The thing is pretty much a PSPgo and a phone slapped together, it'll be able to use MediaGo so downloading games is as simple as plugging it into your computer. Why on gods green earth someone would be stupid enough to use the systems wireless capabilities to download PSP/PS1 games is beyond me.mjc0961 said:Fuck no! Indeed I would Mr Tito, if I can download Peace Walker on it its a definite purchase, and I'd smash my iPhone out of spite for it.Greg Tito said:Would you buy a phone that could play PSP games? What about a Nintendo phone/DS hybrid?
