Sounds awesome, looks decent enough and could be a lot of fun. Lets just hope that the battery life doesnt drain in a few hours of gameplay to make it an actual valid gaming platform.

Yet somehow this argument still does not counteract my point that you seem to be against innovation and progression. In case you didn't get what I meant, pensions and indoor toilets were things we didn't used to have, and that people said were unnecessary.
Innovation and progression is one thing; pointless innovation is another. Would you mount a television in your bathroom? How about a refrigerator on your lawn mower?
How is combining devices thus reducing overall weight and space needed to carry them pointless?
Because if you make a phone that can do everything, you'll be using it for everything but a phone.
Not really. My phone can do a lot of things, play music, surf the net, play games, and yet its primary function is still to make calls and receive texts.

I know that I own a $15 miniature brick [http://www.att-phones.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/att-nokia-2610-silver-gophone-1.jpg] as a cell phone, and that texting feels like alien technology to me, but I'm pretty sure the more technologically-savvy individuals in my generation would be alarmed that there's no face keys on this thing.

Unless of course it's on a touch screen, which would make me want this thing even less due to those things never wanting to read my fingers.

It's clearly running Android...

So if it is real it is very good news for those us us with 'droid phones, as it is fairly safe to assume that what runs on the PS Phone will run on any other Android device, so perhaps we'll see some triple-A mobile gaming titles soon from Sony - an important edge for Android to compete with the iPhone.

Interesting.

Peter Dille, senior vice president of marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment of America, did point out to CNN that gamers are unhappy with the iPhone as a gaming platform.
is it just me, or is that stupid? what gamer would be expecting the iPhone to be good as a gaming platform? jesus.
