Space Marines!

For my fellow 40k Fans which Space Marine chapter do you like the best and why? Which one do you DISLIKE the most. Anyone who brings up traitor legions will be shot on sight.
Dark Angels, White Scars, Space Wolves, Imperial Fists, Blood Ravens, Blood Angels, Iron Hands, Ultramarines, Salamanders, Raven Guard. Obviously there are more, if you feel your favorite hasn't been included say them anyway and put up a picture.
There?s no poll because there are more than 8 chapters and I didn?t want anyone whining about excluding one.
I know there are more but those are the ones I feel are the largest.

As for my favorite I'm gonna have to go with the Space Wolves: Vikings combined with Werewolves and spaceships? Yes please. Can't say I'm a fan of the color scheme though. When I actually played the table top my buddy won a pretty good sized tournament using the Space Wolves, though I think they've been nerfed a bit since then.

Never been a fan of the Ultramarines, so vanilla to me.

I'm actually a Tau player but I have been toying around the idea of making a Dark Angels Space Marine army. Backstory + Color scheme = Win! in my book.

Aesthetically, Iron Hands are fucking awesome. How cool are the Morlocks?! One of the Golden Daemon winners from last year was a brilliant customised squad of Morlock Terminators. Can't find a decent pic, my broadband connection sux.

Fluff and rule wise, Ultramarines are just so boring and they're the only chapter I just plain up dislike. The Dark Angels have such an undertone of homoeroticism, but their rules (before 5th Ed nerfed them) were brilliant (hurr hurr! Turn one 48" bike move, Terminators now raping you!).

Iron Hands are my favorite chapter due to their merciless attitude and their love of bionics as well. They are quite brutal for a loyalist space marine chapter. Hopefully "Wrath of Iron" will rock (new space marine battles book).

They're basically all the same, there's very little to choose between them.

You mean besides the different mechanics that certain units get, the different backstories, and different aesthetics?

I played as Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar back when but there isn't as much variety between those.

I mean, I did play them for over a decade. It's not like I haven't had some hands-on time.

Black Templars. Yeah they are not a first founding chapter, but come on it's space crusaders complete with the biggest tanks around (including F-off anti-infantry Crusader design) and a guy who goes around challenging people to holy duels (Emperor's Champion). There's also something interesting to them about not having a tenth or Scout marine company, Neophytes are put on the line with their brothers and either prove themselves to be Initiates or die trying. And to top if off they've been on crusade for over 10,000 years. While everyone else is sitting comfy on their homeworlds from time to time, the Black Templars are continuing their duty to the emperor.

I started out with my own chapter because i wanted to paint them purple and a nearly black red. They looked pretty pimp but then Necrons started to look so much more attractive...

(Also, everyone knows the Ultramarines were wiped out during the Heresy. The current 'Ultramarines' consist entirely of infiltrated Alpha Legionnaires.)

GREY KNIGHTS.

They have always been my favourite.

The Chapter I dislike the most has to be Dark Angels. Too much into their own agenda with "the fallen" to ever be reliable in battle. The amount of times they have left another chapter in the shit because word of a fallen has got to them is beyond belief.

They can't be trusted.

I understand the reasons they have to keep the fallen hidden from other chapters but to leave fellow Astartes to die because of it is not forgiveable.

I love the Imperial Iists, so much so my custom chapter is a descendant of them.
I hate the smurfs for obvious reasons.

My personal favorite is my own chapter: The Black Gardeners. *sigh* However, they don't actually exist, so I'd have to say Grey Knights. They have bitchin' helmets.

Least favorite? Ultramarines. They're the salt n' pepper whitebread of the Adeptus Astares.
