Well I kind of hope his character William Bell doesn't totally die, or at least explain it in the show instead of saying "oh he's on a vacation....forever"

Leonard Nemoy is the narrator in Civ IV and Seaman, that's what I'll remember him from.

Well as long he does the voice over of Civilization V it's going to be fine.
I never really put two and two together about him voicing civ. I'm also not Trekkie so didn't really think that much about it but yeah that would suck to not have him voicing the next.

I can't imagine how packed those last few conventions are going to be. Its gonna be a busy last few days(in showbiz) for him.

Spell check is so interesting, Trekkie is in there, proof of the cultural impact one show can have.

The venerable Leonard Nimoy is going to be hanging up his blue shirt, bowl haircut, and tricorder very soon.

The bottom line is: if you want to meet Leonard Nimoy without having to climb over his fence and get arrested, you might want to figure out where he'll be in the coming weeks. He deserves a decade or two without rabid fans asking him to pinch their necks every five minutes.

HEY! Spock's rabid legion of fans don't want him to pinch us in the neck. We want him to tell us to 'Live Long and Prosper.' God, way to drop the ball...

Eh, Quinto wasn't a great Spock, but I suppose he'll have to do now. Leonard Nimoy is awesome and deserves this retirement. It may sound cliched, mainly because it is, but live long and prosper, Leonard.

Seriously, this guy put up with it for decades upon decades. He deserves his final decades of break.

I had my hair cut like that in 11th grade.
*shutter*
I'm glad they are letting the character go off into this good night. It would be sad if they kept milking him.

He deserves it, he is one of the most respectable and honest actors that ever lived.

'Live Long and Prosper' Mr. Nimoy :)

It's probably for the best that he does this. He definitely deserves to take it easy now that he's past the "mantle" of Spock on to Quinto.

I have really loved seeing him show up in Fringe however and I can't wait to see where he ends up in the series.
