My friend just paid $60 like a few months ago to get a picture with Nimoy. Lucky bastard.
Holy crap $60?! I mean damn. I would understand with Morgan Freeman... but Nimoy?

I'm glad, but Civ won't be the same without him.

Also He was very good in Abram's other project: Fringe.

Heres hoping we are all lucky enough to be gainfully employed for 60 years straight. He's earned his rest now, time to take up golf or something.

To be honest, I don't think I'll remember Leonard Nimoy for Spock.

It has to be this.

But he is Spock in that one. Or wait ... is he a hobbit oohh ... my brain

My inner trekkie just exclaimed a very loud Vader-esque NOOOOOOOOO, but I do think the man deserves his peace. He's a terrific actor, one of the great godfathers of nerdhood, and..... well..... I mean, c'mon, he's Spock, the guy is awesome!

And I agree with him on Zachary Quinto. Another great young actor, and he does indeed look the part - and he plays it (or rather, plays the new iteration) very well. Maybe one day it'll be him who passes the character on to somebody else.

More power to him, he very much deserves it!

And I don't care that other have said it, as a trek fan I have to say it anyway ;)

Live long and prosper!

Well, fair enough. 60 years is a bloody long time, happy retirement. He's right about Zachary Quinto too, he's a brilliant actor (the single best thing about heroes, which I love anyway).

"Don't grieve, Trekkies. It is only logical. The wants of the many are outweighed by the needs of the few or the one. I have been and forever shall be your Spock. Live Long...and Prosper."

Well good for you Mr. Nimoy. You've certainly earned your retirement after giving so much to so many people. I hope you'll still do the odd voice role occasionally like CivIV.

I don't even like Star Trek, but I do respect Leonard Nimoy. Massive congratulations for surviving the T.V system for 60 years. Nimoy himself (not just Spock) is a legend!
