Actually, the question is 6 by 9.Knife said:"Six multiplied by seven" 6*9=54McNubbin42 said:The question is "What is six multiplied by nine?"Ohhi said:

"6 by 9" is The question of Life, The Universe and Everything, with 42 being the answer. Obviously, the correct question would be "6 by 7" but because early on in the Earth's development cycle a human-like alien species crash-landed on the planet, thus causing the extinction of all early cavemen and a major error in the calculations. This is why Arthur pulls out the question "6 by 9" instead of a question that actually fits the answer.Knife said:A question, maybe. If the answer is 42 then 6 times 9 is obviously not the question (unless the answer is wrong, except we know it to be right).
Depends on how you look at it I guess. Whether you take the one he was given despite it being wrong or the one which is suposed to be right.DelphiSantano said:"6 by 9" is The question of Life, The Universe and Everything, with 42 being the answer. Hmmmm, not particularly. The Wykydtron said:Lelouch dies in an overly melodramatic slow-mo sword through the heart kinda way... (don't worry it was part of his plan) And Suzaku takes on the title of Zero to make sure the world doesn't fuck off back to Warville
[sub]it was fucking awesome[/sub]
Also i would try and spoil Higurashi No Naku Kuro Ni but it would take about 10 paragraphs of backstory to effectively spoil it.

True, the journey and various other things that go on are the important parts, not the question or answer themselves. I was only really pointing out that the question "6 by 9" was, despite being wrong, the one that was connected to the answer.Knife said:Depends on how you look at it I guess. In any case it really seems insignificant, there was a huge hunt for the answer and the question and its all turned out to be completely devoid of any practical use or profound understanding.
What was more important is the journey they went through to get the answer and the question.
