At the end your character gets a sex-change, and dates an obscure side character. The closing scene is that of a barn house where the couple lays in a haystack moo-ing in the feeble position.

After Snape killed Dumbledore, Dumbledore got revived by a Hobbit and went on an epic quest to find the legendary necklace that can get his revenge on Snape.

Aw, I thought this would be about whether something was a spoiler or not. For example, "Garibaldi gets shot." Spoiler, or no? No, not really. You have no idea how it happens. Although given his position as security chief, you can probably guess (in fact you might respond, "Well, duh, it's a dangerous place."), you don't know who does it or why. Or even how many times it happens or what effect it has on him.

On the other hand if I were to tell you "Garibaldi gets shot in the back by his own deputy in an attempt to cover up a plot to kill the president of Earth and it puts him in a coma," well, that's a different story.

Also along the "well, duh" line is "at the end of Skyrim's main quest you defeat Alduin and save the world." Well blow me down! I never knew you defeated the Big Bad at the end!

And what about something that just makes you wanna see the thing even more? "The Shadows and Vorlons go nuts and start destroying whole fucking planets." Whoah, really? I gotta see that! Similarly, if someone told me they had knowledge that Kodomo no Jikan will end with Rin giving up on Aoki and hooking up with Kuro, first I'd tell them I hope so and then I'd keep reading to see if that person was nuts or not.

The Ultimate Generic Spoiler that works on just about anything.

"Spoiler, he dies at the end."

I've done this a couple of times and I've found it to be funny. I see some random person (or friend) reading a totally random book that I know nothing about and I say "Spoiler, he dies at the end." 99% of the time the reaction is the same. "WHAT? REALLY? YOU BASTARD!" Then I laugh and say "Just kidding I have no idea what that book is about. Not even a little bit." :D

I suggest you try it sometime. :D

"Bruce Willis was dead all along!"

"That's actually his sister."

"Dude, his car is over there...Somewhere."

"This movie sucks!" <--- If the truth has been spoken, I don't really mind this one.

That backfired on my sisters friend. She really annoyed my mum when the girl said that at the end of a certain movie everyone dies.

The Mist. Not everybody died, but the main character had to kill his own son and the love interest to save them from what he thought was a certain painful death. He killed them with a gun and he only had two shots. Unfortunatly then the military turned up and he got escorted to safety. The whole situation turned out to not be as bad as he thought, they thought the world was ending.
