I'm confused on if this thread is about anything beyond making random creatures, but I've made a whole slew of monsters on the game so far. I try to keep an average of one to two monsters a day. It's nonsensical fun randomly letting the real world go and making weird creations. I have a race of quadrupedal dragons called "Bug" that I got very far into the space level with, but once I poked the Grox and blew up an enemy planet, the game has been very vicious and hard on me. It's starting to loose the fun that was in the game thus far. Now I've backed up and simply started making random creatures more often.
The Karasujin [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBEnHt4TW70&feature=channel_page] are a raven-derived spacefaring race whose culture is primarily focused towards strict cultural and martial discipline. Though a friendly and resourceful people, they can and will attack if provoked. Instead of conventional weaponry, the Karasujin prefer a system of weaponized terraforming, using tools that might otherwise aid a planet to instead reduce it to little more than magma or ice. As of such, most of their ships tend to be extremely light and fast, being able to slip out of hyperspace, dispatch their weapons, and slip back in just as quickly.
The Enrisians [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpKS6MjeOVg&feature=channel_page] are a heavily-armored herbivorous race centered on trade and economy. Found in almost any galactic hub, the resources from their colonies are vast in both number and quality. It is very rare to see an Enrisian attack vessel, as they are known for being friendly to any race they encounter, be they aggressive or not. To an Enrisian, one looks like a potential business partner, the other a potential bodyguard.
Nonsentient Beings:
Rakthus [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ui68ZDdGrU0&feature=channel_page], a six-limbed predator with a serpentine body structure. Known for being very aggressive and attacking in large numbers.
Lurk [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFaAbwwAHhk&feature=channel_page], a water-dwelling predator known for its stealth and pack tactics. Extremely aggressive and dangerous, especially when cornered.
Grignak [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0SuqSapz4Q&feature=channel_page], an ancient three-eyed subterranean creature. Incredibly well-protected with armored plating. Generally timid but curious.
Puff [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfQE31UC3Ik&feature=channel_page], an adorable stuffed dragon. Known for frolicking in the autumn mists in a land called Honalee.
