SPY UPDATE IN TF2!!!

I can understand why people who have invested in a certain console would want there to be more games for it, but Valve is not the company to provide you PS3 games. They are a PC gaming company.

Of course, that's why I wish that I had a better PC to finally get the Orange Box, but I can't.

But the main thing I'm pissed off at VALVe (more specifically Gabe Newell) is that they gave us PS3 owners false hope of ever getting any taste of L4D aside from a rumour or two. Come on, we know that Gabe hates the PS3 for whatever reason (though I recall reading somewhere where he said "we're reassessing the value of the PS3" though that could be bullshit as well), so why did he give any sort of hope for the PS3?

L4D sold extremely well, they're VALVe for fucks sake! So give us a definitive answer, yes or no?

Remember when TF2 would be out in 2000? Remember when Half Life 2 would be released in 2003? Remember when Steam was going to have a monthly plan and free access to all the game titles? Remember when Half Life 2 was going to have episodic expansions instead of expansion packs years apart?
This is not new. Valve has been promising and taking it back for over a decade now.

While you are right, you're missing my point. Gabe said he hates the PS3. Fine. Then he says "if L4D sells well, we might make it for Ps3" but it's obvious that it's going to sell well regardless on when it's released or where.

All Gabe was doing was adding insult to injury and quite frankly it doesn't make me like the guy any more knowing that VALVe always delays their stuff.

Valve pretty much hates the ps3.

Then again if you bought a Valve game for anything other than the PC you got a raw deal.

Valve hates ps3's they never do updates or anything.
They don't even port the games themselves they outsource it to other companies because they cant be bothered because it's such a bad console to develop for.

It's not because it is a bad console to develop for. It's because it's development method is different from a PC's and Valve has shown that they don't want to/can't effectively program for anything other than a PC.(A 360 is basically a PC in a programming sense)

Anyone else notice that in the Day 3 update, the "dead" spy was holding a small, gold watch (the dead ringer)?

Okay, I didn't notice it myself, someone on the Steam forums noticed it (and before the spy update actually was announced, too). But that was pretty slick of Valve. Can't wait for this update.

Yeah, the PS3 EA servers are crap anyway, when I play Mirrors Edge they dump me every 5 minutes so I have to get my timetrials right quick.
