I do miss Spyro but I'm happy the company moved on, Ratchet and Clank are amazing games.

Agent 9 from Year of the Dragon was my first ever interaction with a video game character that had a gun.

So, my fellows escapees, in the late 90's, whilst I was but an apple-cheeked youngster I bought a PS1. Along with it I got a game called Spyro the Dragon. 'Twas but a simple platformer, but oh so many hours I've spent playing that game. I tought it was an underrated star.

But now, my fellow men, I ask you: Have you played it, liked it or even heard of it?

TLDR; Spyro the Dragon, opinions?
I grew up on the three game, I loved them all.

OMFG BEST GAME EVER

*ahem*

Sorry about that. Spyro the Dragon just happens to be my first game ever, which naturally also makes it the BEST FUCKING GAME EVER MADE.

If anyone needs me, I'll be in the Nostalgia Dome. Closely related to the Angry Dome.

You know, usually when people say that a sequel ruined the original somehow....I tell them to shut the fuck up. I mean, it's not like the original is actually effected by the bad sequel, right? It still exists in the same awesome state that it always did.

But in this case.....Goddamnit Spyro, what the hell did they DO to you?

I only have vague memories of Spyro the Dragon and the PS2 drove the series into the dirt.
Still, I think that Sierra did a good job on Dawn of the Dragon. I've seen very few opinions of Dawn... Odd...
Spyro has always been my favourite video game character, you play as a dragon and set stuff on fire, whats not to love?!

Beat the first one, never got around to finishing the second one for some reason though.

Loved those games, though! The first one had some pretty hilarious moments, not just from the enemies but from the Dragon statues you rescued as well. Never played any of the games after the 2nd- 'Ripto's Rage' I think it was? From what I hear though I apparently got out at a good time.

A friend of my parents got me the first Spyro game from Australia...(well I think it was, that or Austria) and I was like "yay a videogame!"

Then I played it.

And played it.

And played it.

Yeah, it was spectacular :D

Year of the Dragon was my favourite, but the first game is close behind it.

It's a shame Spyro has burnt out now (hah), for me IMO, A Hero's Tail was pretty good aswell.

If I could only play one game for the rest of my life it would probably be spyro 1. I play that game after I get 100 percent completion. That game was genius. The nest 2 were good too but the first one just blew my mind. Time to go dig out the PS1.

I enjoyed the Spyro games (1 2 and 3), even though I was in my late 20s when they came out. Obviously at that age they weren't the most challenging of games but they were immensely fun to play.

As with many of the great franchises, it just wasn't the same when the original developers stopped making them. I certainly enjoyed Insomniac's next series, Ratcher and Clank though.

Same with Crash Bandicoot - Naughty Dog's were the best and I moved onto Jak and Daxter when they did.
