Yeah this was... bland at best. I guess if you're really into life is strange you're stoked about this but otherwise, resounding meh.

I guess forspoken (what a dumb name) could turn out interesting, but just a trailer that's 50% interview isn't much to go on of.

Yeah i had to read a summary of what they showcased and it was pretty stupid.

If i recall people didnt dig Life is Strange 2 as much as the first one. And 3 looks like more of the same.

Mobile games who the fuck cares.

That Project Athena thing was the only thing worth being interested in out of all of that to be honest.

I am a bit bummed that they didn't announce some sort of tomb raider collection or something but hooray for fortnite i guess.

Overall
They could've shown something more stronger. How about new look at FFXVI, Nier, or even a new Splinter Cell game? Or are they saving it up for E3?
4/10. Forspoken and LIS sort of saved the whole show IMO
Well, FFXVI needs another 5-10 years of dev time at this point, based off their last few mainline games.

And then another couple years for all the DLC that was not CARVED OUT OF THE GAME to drop separately. Also, Watch the movie...and the Anime to actually know what's really going on in the story.

Sorry, what were we talking about again?

To be fair that was only the last ONE mainline title.

Well the previous mainline title was so bad at release they had to reboot it, and the one before also took 5-10 years, so...
What? 15 did take a long time to cook but I don't......OH you are talking about 14. Yeah you know I don't even consider the MMO's as "mainline" games because of the nature of them never technically being complete, nor are they traditional experiences. I guess you're right in that regard technically though.

Play the first 3 chapters at least. They don't really mess with the plot until the end.
I'll probably get around to it eventually just to see how it's done. Quick story question though;

It seems to me that the 'Sephiroth' in FF7 Remake actually is Sephiroth: he certainly sounds (from what I've seen) like he's talking to Cloud as the real Sephiroth. Have they just.... abandoned the whole plot point about it not actually being Sephiroth?

I'm not going to quote your spoiler, but I'm going to respond to your spoiler.

Well, actually maybe not because I don't want to spoiler you. So I'll tell you what why don't you DM me about how much you're willing to have spoiled for yourself and I'll tell you whatever you want to know.

The direct answer to your question is "Yes and No....both" it is complicated, but if you have played the original game you certainly will get more out of the Remake than you will if you haven't.

šŸ˜Ø....oh.....

You might want to talk to someone on that. Unchecked addiction can be a deadly thing.

See the good thing is that the content will be free and it'll be gacha's for like cosmetics and outfits and shit, which wont entice me as much.

Hopefully they dont do optional character gacha's or I am gonna be fuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.

Here. You might wanna play this for a while. You like robots and ninjas right? Well how about robot ninjas? If so, got the right thing for you. It will take your mind off for a while.

There's a short robot ninja girl that is dummy thicc and has stretchable retractable arms that doubles as are boobs. Check the time stamp at 3:15

That looks interesting especially since it apparently is literally 2d which means no side movement like in streets of rage. I wonder if it makes the game harder or easier.

FF7R now has a Yuffie DLC coming, which you can only get on the PS5. Which a lot of us still can't get, so it feels both insulting and a worrisome reminder of "Episode Prompto", "Episode Ignis", etc from FFXV.

Yuffie "Hey, if you want to learn my backstory.....buy the DLC...and a PS5".

Depends on which android your playing as Raiden is definitely the hardest to use if you're going solo. It's best you know the combat system by that point and doing co-op with someone. The game is easy almost easy when playing as someone like Ninja (my second favorite of the group) or Kunoichi. The former may be slow, but powerful, but has some of the strongest grabs, and one best dashes in the game. It makes up for his slow walk and lack air combos so much, that his flaws are barely that big of a deal. Also, blocking is a huge godsend and will be your best friends. What's more, there are hidden moves the game nor intsruction manual tell you (unless you played the SNES), until you figure it out for yourself or check a move list guide. Or the game wiki.

What does make the game harder is that you only get one life, but unlimited continues. The downside being your overall time won't be recorded unless you do a 1cc run. There are leaderboards for speed running. Why Natsume decided to get rid of the score system is beyond me? It was a dumb idea. They should have made a score attack mode, a time trial mode, and a boss rush mode. These would have gave the game a bit more longevity.
