...... We are living in the future.

When did this happen.
At least around 6 months ago when Japan had a concert in which the lead singer was a hologram.

I WANT MY JETPACK!!!

I wonder how much you could make off that...
Around $100,000 [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.245962-Martin-Aircraft-Putting-the-Segway-Back-in-Jetpack] per unit, if Martin Aircraft's estimates are to be believed.

OT -
I never much cared for that interface myself, but I suppose it's cool for people that do.

Nice...

Although a lot of details in an interface are functional issues, this does demonstrate that the 'lcars' system isn't too bad for actual touchscreen controls.

Okuda should be proud. XD.

I can't decide what's more epic, the shear thought of having this in my house one day or that this guy got the actual interface beeps from TNG for when you press buttons.

I'd want one that runs on apple and had the ability to change the appearance of the interface.

Also, it'd be neat if you could do what he did on that computer with the music (making it play on the TV in the other room) with other features of the house, ex: change the colour of the walls/floors/ceilings, change the lighting of rooms, make music play in hallways, make movies play on floors, etc.

Of course, all of that would require hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of interface, but it would still be very awesome =D
those would all be possible with proper hardware(like...floors that change colors and shit).

That is actually pretty neat. I'm not a big Star Trek fan but I like the tech. Still, I'm going to sleep so wake me up when someone invents holodecks. That sounds a lot more fun.

ALOT!
Ditto! DO WANT!

Uhh.. Maybe hook a vacuum cleaner-robot and a door-phone to the system as well... Just because?
This is like the most expressive and apropriate face under these circumstances.
