It's their fault they're so lazy.
I highly doubt the Blizzard developers are lazy considering all the stuff they've currently got on their plate.
am i the only person who noticed that all 3 projects are somehow all progressing at the same speed? Blizzard afterall did take a number of people from the othe inhouse developers when they payed for the purchace of Activition. also anyone who thinks activition has any say with Blizzard, they dont. Blizzard's contract literally opens with a "Dont fuck with us" clause

Are there any games that aren't coming out in the first half of 2010?

But seriously, as long as Blizzard spends enough time polishing the final product, I won't complain. It's better to have a high-quality game that comes out a bit later than a rushed product that everyone will hate.

Blizzard currently have five ongoing projects that we know of, not three.

WoW updates/expansions
SC2
D3
Unannounced MMO using a new IP.

*sigh* Just when I was beginning to watch any available preview, video, etc. because the beta-test was supposed to begin soon. Disappointing. Not unexpected, but still disappointing.

i forgot about those 2. although unannounced project (the MMO is un-named, not unannounced) is likely going to be Warcraft 4 or blizzards first shooter.

to anyone who thinks SC:ghost actually was canceled: Blizzard employees have stated that it is actually up to SC2's story department to cover enough of the SC:ghost storyline. if the outcome either feels incomplete or entirely useless, it will be put back into developement

Not necessarily. They said:

At Blizzcon in August 2007, Blizzard Entertainment claimed that if there was a role for Nova in the game, she would appear, but she would not be in the game just for the sake of being in it.
So the SC2 writers might put Nova in if it fits their story, but equally they might leave her to be lost in the annals of a cancelled (sorry 'indefinitely postponed') game and the books she was in.

Personally I'm still hoping on a SC:Ghost and they just haven't told anyone about it yet so as not to get their hopes up.

I wanted that game so badly.

actually thats wrong, they are going to attempt to touch on the subjects of SC:Ghost in SC2. hopefully (and likely) they will either just leave it out or not cover enough and so they will restart SC:Ghost. Nova may appear, but thats because raynor is the only person she could trust once she discovered the Terrazine experiments.

Before anyone else says it: perhaps they need more vespene gas?

I don't know if Blizzard has missed the boat on this. Much as I'd really like a new Starcraft, it's starting to run that tricky Duke Nukem line.
Why does everyone assume when a game is delayed its going to turn into Duke Nukem?! This is a completely different case along with most games because people have actually played SC2 unlike with Duke Nukem where all we got was a few screens.
There were people reporting to have played Duke Nukem...
My point being that RTS's are moving on really really fast. Even Brood Wars was seen as a bit primitive. To be a hit, it's gonna have to beat Command and Conquer, the FPS's, the MMO's, the casuals and its prequel. As well as what Funk says that Battlenet is going to have to support it properly without allowing LAN networks.
That's a really tall order for any software company.
Just because people say they've done it doesn't mean they have, I've defeated the evil monkey overlord and saved the 8th dimension.Twice.

To be honest, it doesn't matter how good it is as there will always be a market for this game.South Korea.

Hello Blizzard. I have a cat. his name is tom...say hello tom. now, I, like many people, have been awaiting the release of SC2, especially if you get that special mission at the end of brood war that shows us that Duran is really some sort of messiah for some new awsome alien race that will bring about the end of the universe in some sort of orgasmic epic finale to one of the Greatest RTS's of all time...but no, no no no no no, instead YOU had too sit on the ever increasing cash pile milking away at WoW fans and giving anyone who asked about Diablo 3 the middle finger. do you know how many people still play starcraft? of course you dont, because your too busy abducting emo kids to help you make the design for Arthas "im an unlikeable prick" Menethill!!...but in anycase, Here is my cat, tom. fore everyday you past december 25, 2010, I will throw tom into my pool. when its frozen. thank you and have a good day, im gonna go lie down.

Are you guys seriously comparing this game to DNF? What the heck is wrong with the community? 10 years ago you'd get a "When it's done." from tons of developers, no one complained. If a developer actually gave a date for their game, it often ended up getting delayed anyways, hence why most developers go for the tried and true "When it's done."

Quit getting your panties in a bunch, the game will come. Wait for it patiently and you will be rewarded. Blizzard is one of the few developers out there that can actually afford to see a huge project be released in a state that would be considered "finished".

Man it must suck to be Blizzard right now. Either they take a long time and piss off all the impatient people who dont want to wait for a game, or they rush it early and piss off everyone who thinks its bad because they rushed it. And either way, if they release it sooner or later, theres gonna be a large amount of people who will still insist its nowhere near as good as the original. Moral of the story: be patient, expect a good game, and dont expect a miracle of gaming that will change the industry forever and youll be very happy

Don't care. The wait will be worth it. I have no doubt that this game won't be everything I expect it to be. I say take all the time you need Blizzard, I can wait.

Needs additional pylons and zerg. Then everything would be just dandy.

I don't understand why people want it to be released "When it's good and ready." If they release it earlier than when it's ready, it's essentially a beta version and we'll get access to the game all the sooner. What's bad about that? Anyone who thinks "Release it when it's ready" is just looking for something that looks important to say.
