am i the only person who noticed that all 3 projects are somehow all progressing at the same speed? Blizzard afterall did take a number of people from the othe inhouse developers when they payed for the purchace of Activition. also anyone who thinks activition has any say with Blizzard, they dont. Blizzard's contract literally opens with a "Dont fuck with us" clauseAmnestic said:I highly doubt the Blizzard developers are lazy considering all the stuff they've currently got on their plate. It's their fault they're so lazy.
Blizzard currently have five ongoing projects that we know of, not three.toapat said:am i the only person who noticed that all 3 projects are somehow all progressing at the same speed? i forgot about those 2. although unannounced project (the MMO is un-named, not unannounced) is likely going to be Warcraft 4 or blizzards first shooter.Amnestic said:Blizzard currently have five ongoing projects that we know of, not three.toapat said:am i the only person who noticed that all 3 projects are somehow all progressing at the same speed? WoW updates/expansions
SC2
D3
Unannounced MMO using a new IP.
Unannounced Project [http://www.diii.net/blog/comments/fifth-blizzard-game-in-the-works-update/]
Not necessarily. They said:to anyone who thinks SC:ghost actually was canceled: Blizzard employees have stated that it is actually up to SC2's story department to cover enough of the SC:ghost storyline. if the outcome either feels incomplete or entirely useless, it will be put back into developement
So the SC2 writers might put Nova in if it fits their story, but equally they might leave her to be lost in the annals of a cancelled (sorry 'indefinitely postponed') game and the books she was in.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Characters_of_StarCraft#Nova said:At Blizzcon in August 2007, Blizzard Entertainment claimed that if there was a role for Nova in the game, she would appear, but she would not be in the game just for the sake of being in it.
Personally I'm still hoping on a SC:Ghost and they just haven't told anyone about it yet so as not to get their hopes up.although unannounced project (the MMO is un-named, not unannounced) is likely going to be Warcraft 4 or blizzards first shooter.
actually thats wrong, they are going to attempt to touch on the subjects of SC:Ghost in SC2. hopefully (and likely) they will either just leave it out or not cover enough and so they will restart SC:Ghost. Nova may appear, but thats because raynor is the only person she could trust once she discovered the Terrazine experiments.Amnestic said:So the SC2 writers might put Nova in if it fits their story, but equally they might leave her to be lost in the annals of a cancelled (sorry 'indefinitely postponed') game and the books she was in.y.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Characters_of_StarCraft#Nova said:At Blizzcon in August 2007, Blizzard Entertainment claimed that if there was a role for Nova in the game, she would appear, but she would not be in the game just for the sake of being in it.
Just because people say they've done it doesn't mean they have, I've defeated the evil monkey overlord and saved the 8th dimension.Twice.The_root_of_all_evil said:There were people reporting to have played Duke Nukem...Sevre90210 said:Why does everyone assume when a game is delayed its going to turn into Duke Nukem?! This is a completely different case along with most games because people have actually played SC2 unlike with Duke Nukem where all we got was a few screens.The_root_of_all_evil said:Before anyone else says it: perhaps they need more vespene gas?
I don't know if Blizzard has missed the boat on this. Much as I'd really like a new Starcraft, it's starting to run that tricky Duke Nukem line.
My point being that RTS's are moving on really really fast. Even Brood Wars was seen as a bit primitive. To be a hit, it's gonna have to beat Command and Conquer, the FPS's, the MMO's, the casuals and its prequel. As well as what Funk says that Battlenet is going to have to support it properly without allowing LAN networks.
That's a really tall order for any software company.
Needs additional pylons and zerg. Then everything would be just dandy.The_root_of_all_evil said:Before anyone else says it: perhaps they need more vespene gas?

If they release it earlier than when it's ready, it's essentially a beta version and we'll get access to the game all the sooner. What's bad about that? Anyone who thinks "Release it when it's ready" is just looking for something that looks important to say.
