I'm a vegetarian and salivating regardless ><.
Steak is the only meat that I occasionally miss..

A thoroughly cooked venison studded with garlic and doused in a wine, spice and shredded vegetable sauce. Plenty of cloves, cinnamon and mustard. A side helping of mashed potato and peas. And good vinegary salad too. And a tall glass of cold, crisp light beer.

I think it's nicer as a distant memory, though.

For me it depends sometimes I like it "blue" - French style, sometimes "rare" but I suppose most often I'd choose "medium rare".

Oh, and Madeira sauce is the sh*t - its a must every time.

Exactly the only way you can eat steak is with mashed potatoes on the side

I like medium-rare, but I'll usually order medium to err on the side of safety. Put a loaded baked potato on the same plate, pour me a good hefeweizen, and I'm in heaven.
