Yeah! Steam Sales! So far I've picked up a bunch of stuff that I should have picked up years ago like Knights of Pen and Paper +1 and Rogue Legacy. I also downloaded Doom 2 because I'm super late to that party and I'm having a lot of trouble getting Brutal Doom to work...I downloaded what I thought was the right stuff but I have no idea what to DO with it...I followed a steam tutorial thing but no luck. Followed a Youtube video and again, no luck...oh well, gotta keep playing with these files!

Also: I'm a bit miffed that Ironcast isn't on sale...and that Axiom Verge is a $12 but I'll end up buckling and picking it up before the sale ends.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
Undertale
Hotline Miami 2
and Crypt of the Necrodancer.

These games are relatively quick to get through. So far I'm really liking Shantae.

To put a limit on myself, I went in determined to spend no more than $30. For that I got:

Cities Skylines - Been waiting to play this, but it just has never worked out for me to purchase it.

Tales of Symphonia - I hear it got fixed from the initial release, and it's also been on my wish list ever since I played Vesperia and Abyss.

Civilization V - Or, more specifically, I finally decided to get all the expansions and DLC. I'd played with them all on other people's computers, but I've never bought them for myself.

Overall, I think I'll get my money's worth.

Going to try Grim Dawn. I think this site recommend it on their ARPG list. 25% off.

Oh man, congrats on the good taste and some nice games you'll get to play soon. Pen and Paper is good, Rogue Legacy is amazing, and Axiom Verge is just... it's something. Short but worth it.

And don't feel bad. I can't get Brutal Doom to run either - Had to dig out my old CDs that have Doom 1 and 2.

Well, I ain't going to be buying anything just yet... *checks Steam page* FREE TRADING CARDS?!
*ahem* I mean, I'm cross-referencing my wishlist and my followed list and cherry-picking from there... Sure, I'll have to wait until I deal with Humble Bundle as well as my next paycheck, but my Steam level will legally increase one way or another...

Valdis Story: Abyssal City (75%)Q.U.B.E: Director's Cut (80%)Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (0%)Tron 2.0 (75%)Dex (75%)Rabi-Ribi (25%)The Hurricane of the Varstray -Collateral hazard- (80%)IMSCARED (0%)Eversion (50%)Anodyne (60%)Transistor (75%)NO THING (50%)Project G (50%)Loren The Amazon Princess (50%)GemCraft - Chasing Shadows (75%)Kindred Spirits on the Roof (20%)Gahkthun of the Golden Lightning Steam Edition (25%)Malus Code (24%)Circa Infinity (60%)Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds (50%)Castle Crashers (80%)Dust: An Elysian Tail (80%)Antichamber (75%)Oxenfree (50%)Momodora III (50%)Hatoful Boyfriend (75%)Westerado: Double Barreled (33%)Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number (75%)This does not include soundtracks, if possible, but I'll buy them alongside the games that do, anyway...
I mean, I do have about 15 bones on my account already, but I originally have that from the Steam market, yo...

I'm waiting for the Fallout 4 season pass. There's only two proper DLCs included in that, the rest could have been fan made mods.

I've only picked up Darkest Dungeon so far myself.

Between that and The Witcher 3 I reckon I'm set for a few.....years(?).

Games on my radar

-Project Cars or Assetto Corsa (would love some input from anyone who's played them. They seem nickle and dimey)
I own both. Assetto Corsa I bought since Alpha, so I couldn't complain about the price then. It's about how much it was then as it is on sale now. It's not a crapload of game, but what's there is extremely quality. People usually pull the trigger on this one due to it's physics engine which is unparalleled in any game. A lot of the content comes from mods. There's enough out there to tailor your game to all kinds of racing/drifting/sprinting preferences, including exotic/racing/drifting cars.

Project CARS I felt was a massive letdown. Unless you are really into the realistic racing career type thing. Physics engine didn't gel with me, and I didn't like the career mode and cars on offer all that much. Plus it was buggy as shit, my car kept hitting invisible speed bumps and curbs in the long ocean highway map, which is what I wanted to do most.

A little disclaimer here that I have not played either of them with a controller and have no desire to do so. Part of what makes AC's experience so fantastic is the force feedback, so if you don't have a FFB wheel, grab one!

OT:
Today I've picked up:
-Dying Light: Enhanced Edition
-XCOM 2
-Superhot
-Hyperlight drifter
-Blops 2 (just want to see what all the fuss is about, apparently it's the last "good" CoD game)
-American Truck Simulator
-The Beginner's Guide

Still deciding whether to get new Tomb Raider and which Track Mania game. I was surprised Doom was offered at 40% being so new, but it's still over the $40 mark so I'll wait it out a bit.

Battlefleet: Gothica
Dark Souls III
Melody's Escape

are what I've picked up so far. Have been looking at various other games and I keep seeing the Hyperdimension Neptunia games are on a pretty big discount - anyone have experience with 'em? Are they actually any good?

I don't know. The sale seems really weak this time, but it was similar last sale. I remember the times when games were 90 or 95% off and most games were at least 75% off at some point of the sale. Now most games are just 25% or 50% which, considering that steam is generally a lot more expensive than the retail version of games, is not really worth it. Some games are still even cheaper on retail than on the steam-sale. That's insane.

So there's no chance that any of these games will get discounted any further? Without Flash Sales... meh...

Impressive as usual. I don't want too many games, with how many games I haven't played/finished already and how long and laboriously I play them, my backlog is already insane. However I managed to find 2 games for sale on my wishlist I'm probably going to end up buying.

This. Is bonkers. So glad I grow up as a millennial when the games are gettin' good.

Got to be honest, not having the store change regularly takes away some of the fun of the sales. If you enter to the store right now, what you see is AS GOOD AS IT GETS... no need for checking regularly, no voted sales, today deals or flash sales, no need for holding to something for the last day or in case there is some further promotion.

Just like that, the Steam Summer Sale came and went away...

Well looks like I will have my first refund thanks to the sale.

Bought DOOM and the game flagged me as a cheater immediately as is loaded it up for the first time.
Verifying the cache right now. If it doesn't help it's return to sender.

So far nothing, but I am tempted by Banner Saga 2 (got the first one and it is amazing), maybe I'll get Ashes of the Singularity or Homeworld deserts of kharak. Maybe Dead by Daylight.... we'll see.

Stupid Steam sale. I already caved in and bought X-Com 2, Dreamfall Chapters, and the Dawn of War collection thingy. Got my eye on a couple of others but I'm trying to resist...

Oh, I've already played through Bulletstorm. Several times. But that was on my PS3, which I gave to my brother a while ago (He needed a bluray player and I didn't use the damn thing that much anyway). Just been waiting for a sale good enough to justify me rebuying.
It's worth mentioning that the game uses GFWL and never got updated to Steamworks when GFWL went down. You can still get it running but it might be a ballache.
In case anyone's interested in Bulletstorm, seems it's been fixed. All you need is a Microsoft live account (Not the game live version - The email account) and a willingness to restart the game once, and you're in. No tomfoolery required.

So wait, there won't be flash sales anymore?
So the recent prices I see are the final ones?

Just think how time it will take you only to finish a AAA game and you will immediately stop thinking about it.
Just recently found time to play Dark Souls 2. So seeing Dark Souls 3 discount, don't make me nail my skin is a good thing.

However buy Undertale, Pony Island. My poison running through my veins indeed with this games I played.
