Games on my radar
-Project Cars or Assetto Corsa (would love some input from anyone who's played them. They seem nickle and dimey)
I own both. Assetto Corsa I bought since Alpha, so I couldn't complain about the price then. It's about how much it was then as it is on sale now. It's not a crapload of game, but what's there is extremely quality. People usually pull the trigger on this one due to it's physics engine which is unparalleled in any game. A lot of the content comes from mods. There's enough out there to tailor your game to all kinds of racing/drifting/sprinting preferences, including exotic/racing/drifting cars.
Project CARS I felt was a massive letdown. Unless you are really into the realistic racing career type thing. Physics engine didn't gel with me, and I didn't like the career mode and cars on offer all that much. Plus it was buggy as shit, my car kept hitting invisible speed bumps and curbs in the long ocean highway map, which is what I wanted to do most.
A little disclaimer here that I have not played either of them with a controller and have no desire to do so. Part of what makes AC's experience so fantastic is the force feedback, so if you don't have a FFB wheel, grab one!
OT:
Today I've picked up:
-Dying Light: Enhanced Edition
-XCOM 2
-Superhot
-Hyperlight drifter
-Blops 2 (just want to see what all the fuss is about, apparently it's the last "good" CoD game)
-American Truck Simulator
-The Beginner's Guide
Still deciding whether to get new Tomb Raider and which Track Mania game. I was surprised Doom was offered at 40% being so new, but it's still over the $40 mark so I'll wait it out a bit.
