Awesome. I have the Steam sales to thank for my being exposed to numerous games I would otherwise have never tried.

It's been a genius marketing strategy, as I've then gone on to buy sequels to games I got on sale for full price. Heck, the free copy of Portal they gave me last year ended up resulting in me buying two copies of Portal 2 pre-order this year for my partner and I.
