Steampunk vs Cyberpunk

Cyberpunk. Don't really like the look of steampunk. Sick of seeing steampunk too.

Well steampunk doesn't have art deco, that's dieselpunk, steampunk uses Victorian era visuals.

So SS2 vs Bioshock? I pick SS2 (and Deus Ex) so therefore Cyberpunk.

BioShock isn't steampunk, it's dieselpunk.

Cyberpunk in some ways it,s the future (IE technological modifications to the body and companies being as powerful as countries)

Bioshock isn't really a good example of steampunk. It's more dieselpunk thank anything else. Bioshock Infinite on the other hand is much closer to steampunk than its predecessor.

Indeed I am so tired of telling people that BioShock isn't steampunk. Infinite is steampunk, and I am so excited to play it. I still like the dieselpunk setting of BioShock better, but Infinite should be a fun ride.

As for me I much prefer cyberpunk to steampunk. I even prefer dieselpunk to steampunk. I like steampunk, but the other two are just grittier and deeper to me.
