I always liked him, I would probably watch Dr. Who at least once if he did this. I thought it was slightly amusing that he played a character about as straight as his nose in V for Vendetta.
What's so amusing? He is gay, after all.
I did not know this.
I thought it was well known. Same with Ian McKellen.

I'd love to see a Fry-directed episode at least once. Maybe one of the specials. Don't know if he's got the style to be a consistent writer, but I really hope he would be.
I honestly had no idea, but ok then

I knew Stephen Fry was gay, but Sir Ian McKellen! I really didn't get that vibe at all :/

Really? He openly admits it, and even without him doing so it's almost impossible to miss.
I shall quote the man himself:

"I suppose it all began when I came out of the womb. I looked back up at my mother and thought to myself, 'That's the last time I'm going up one of those.'"

First of all, gross, and second of all I'm not a very up to date person, the usual dates are 20 years ago. and ya I know he was still gay then but I really don't look at interviews.

That'd be quite a show with him writing it. The best one so far has been the one with the stone angels. That was pretty dark for a Doctor Who epsiode.

Stephen Fry is an amazing actor and comedian. I do not know how well he writes, but I think that would be really neat if he wrote Doctor Who.
He is one of my fave writers. He's great.

Everything he touches turns to gold, he'd be a million times better than the last shit-tastic writer. Or maybe it was down to bad casting...

'B' is missing from 'but' in the OP :p I feel cool now.

If he starts writing it, i'll start watching it.

Frankly, from what I have seen; Doctor Who is a bit of a garbagey programme to watch when nothing else is on.

But Stephen Fry is an awesome guy!

Stephen Fry is amazing beyond comparison - excuse me while I squeal like a little girl.

Also - he should appear as Hugh Laurie's older brother on House; But with two limps
