I thought of another thing: The Roxas hours of Kingdom Hearts 2
I like roxas... but i hate his section of the game.

Fraction Adventures improved on it a little though, so that's cool

I still despise random encounters. When you don't want to run into any monsters, you encounter one at least every other step. And when you're trying to level up, you spend ages running around the map looking for one single damned monster.

Also, all cliff racers must die. Those things are damn frustrating when you prefer melee weapons.

OT: Getting all the jiggies in BK or BT is still a pain to me today.

But hey, I enjoy every minute of it.

As much as I love FFIV, I HATE the Sealed Cavern. Fucking doors....

I experience the same thing with the Submerged Castle, Dream Den, Hole of Heroes, and the Cavern of Chaos in Pikmin 2.

Banjo Tooie I agree, but I never had any trouble getting all 100 in Banjo-Kazooie. Now all the NOTES... that was a *****. And there was no reward for it. Grr

I always thought it was funny, even though the jiggies are the big collectible on the box, if you think about it, the NOTES are the goal. Banjo needs JIGGIES to collect NOTES that open the doors in Grunty's Lair. Oh dear off topic in my own thread!

I hate Killzone 2, I got 3/4ths of the way through it, trying desperately to like it considering the hype that was around it and I hated every moment of it. It just wasn't fun and I love A LOT of shooters, I think I've played well over a hundred and beat 90% of them and this game just wasn't fun at all.

The Tower of Babel in Xenogears has TONS OF annoying jumping stuff in an RPG that is mostly based on story telling and pretty traditional JRPG game mechanics... It is freaking annoying when games have some frustrating annoying area that has nothing to do with what most of the game is about...

I hated driving the Mako on the boring repetitive side planets in Mass Effect but at least those were optional but still annoying.

There are tons of others in video games but those two stand out the most in my head right now.

Hmm...gotta admit, much as I love Wizardry 8, I hate, hate, hate Bayjin and underwater caves. Fire spells don't work underwater, Rynjin are a chore to fight, the undersea creatures are even worse, and Nessie...oh dear god, Nessie...

For a minor example, the moors right outside Madrigal in Soulbringer are still the most monotonous point in the game, though that's mainly for that one brigand who keeps running like a pansy.

I love that Temple because it's such a pain in the ass. The key is that it's challenging but still doable, it just takes time.

Also, going through the Calm Lands was always painful until you get the chocobo. They're just so big! The relaxing music there makes up for it.

I hated those until I realize how much worse the tutorial time could have gone in Kingdom Hearts 2 and realized it could be worse.

I still don't get what's so great about the combat system in KOTOR. It just was not fun for me. And every time I try to play it again, I just find a new thing about the game that annoys me, but the original one is just the combat.
