we should petition bathesda/arkane to put 'become the pied piper of F%^& you' on the boxart for the goty edition that is blatantly coming
seriously
i would buy that box and mount it on my wall.
I saw this and had to join in on the fun on my off day, so another quickly done Piper image. Keeping it Rated G though!

This seems like the perfect place for a certain teamfourstar joke:

"Well I sure hope somebody picks up that phone. BECAUSE I FUCKING CALLED IT~"

:p Haven't played it yet, but according to a friend who's already beaten it, the rats are indeed the most dangerous thing in that game.

However, he's also mentioned something that applies to the other argument: the "It's never just a rat!" side. That being that there were quite a few instances in which he'd do something deserving of a "WTF?! GUARDS! ATTACK!" only to have people just carry on as though they thought it was indeed just a rat. One case in particular had him possessing a rat, exploring a bit, then poofing back to normal in front of a large crowd, and no one seemed to care at all. :3
The other side of this is that often when you use powers, somebody will yell "Holy shit!" or "witchcraft!" or something. Of course they will STILL go back to whatever it was they were doing, but it's at least a nice little addition.

That is so awesome, though it'd be better if it were more M rated and the guy had his middle finger up.

That is why Dishonored fails as a stealth game. It feels much too loose, like you can complete the level by just sneaking through the shadows. And if someone sees you? Not to worry, just stab them. I know people don't want to see a "game over" screen anymore, but there needs to be some incentive to do things properly. The levels could have been randomly generated for all I know. Give me Splinter Cell or Thief over Dishonored, at least those games had consequences.
I've never seen anyone rag on "too many options" before, wow. I would assume if you want the ghost run done, that's enough incentive for you. Even more you can just have some imagination and self discipline be your consequences without the game setting up a game over for you. Nobody actually wants an instant game over if your ass got seen behind the corner, that is not fun in any shape or form. Adrenaline rush aside...

I know he's grinning because he turned out to be right after all, but the art really makes it look like he's just a sick fuck who enjoys the view of a person getting eaten alive by rats. Or maybe that's just my interpretation.
Wait, what? You dreamed up an alternative interpretation of the final panel of the comc and for some reason criticised the comic for your ability to do so, even though you already understood the proper interpretation.

If you understood the point, how has the comic failed to properly communicate it?

In other words you want your hand held every step of the way?

Yes you can dispatch a single guard pretty easily, you were once the Royal Protector after all. But when you hit mobs with Tallboy support especially on higher difficulties you will be slaughtered in open combat.

*scratches head*

How does openness equate with higher difficulty?

If you just kill everything then the game ramps up the number of guards, the difficulty of guards, the number of rat swarms and the number of weepers, not to mention apparently (though I've not yet seen proof of this) an alternate ending if that Chaos rating doesnt remain low.

Not sure how far into the game you've played but the stage Im at now its pretty hard to just say "Ill sneak here and if someone sees me then Ill just stab them". For me, trying to complete each level with a Low Chaos is my incentive.
