The Commissar's execution command in Dawn of War, I can't stop using it.
Yelling out realistic war commands while playing Dawn of War.
Giving my units in Dawn of War official battalion and squad names.
Zooming in and watching every single sync kill I see in Dawn of War.

I cannot, I CANNOT do missions out of order. I am very much OCD about that particular thing, I try to treat MMORPG quests as a single-player storyline until it reaches the point I'm forced to group up due to difficulty for any single class to handle it.

..Yeah.

Edit: Oh, and yes. Aesthetics over stats. If the armor looks ugly physically, no matter how fucking uber it is, I will not even touch it. My philosophy with this: If I can't appreciate my character running about in some armor that fits well with her/his hair color, body structure, etc.. I'll fucking go naked if I have to until I find that right armor.

DDO still pisses me off on that aspect, as they still (to my knowledge) haven't put a dressing room into the auction house yet for armor displays. Wasted sooooo much gold on that place just find something that didn't look like a cow shit it out..

mine will be well, if an object is destroyable, I destroy. if its dismemberable (is that a word) I dismember. In minecraft, I dig holes that are 3x3 in size. And I love hitting animals

A tie between breaking every window I can find and saving over and over again. I always save because I have a fear that I forgot to save somewhere and I have a need to break big, clear, objects. And what better than a good window just sitting there... not doing anything!

Dude no way, the same thing is developing within me, I frieking HATE gravel and dirt, i have no idea why but everytime I see it I get pissed off I practically yell at it "WHY THE HELL DO YOU EXIST", but that isn't enough, I can't stand it even existing in my storage chest so I used a bucket to create a lake of lava that I throw dirt and gravel into, stupid compounds are ruining my tidy sandstone house!!

Oh, forgot! In most RPGs, I have a habit of collecting all the loot in a dungeon to sell it. Even if I have to make 40 trips to collect it all because it makes me overweight (I'm looking at you Oblivion!) and I don't even need the gold. I must do it. It drives me nuts when I watch my roommate play Oblivion and he leaves weapons in the dungeons.

"I don't need those. They suck and aren't worth selling back."
"But it's gold. Gold! Get them! Ahhhh! D;

i must collect everything from evrywhere, and loot every enemy corpse.
this is annoying in games like Fallout where the weight adds up and slows you down.

In Dead SPace 2 I must stomp on everything. Even if its already been shot to burger meat, it needs a stomping.
Special ammo must be saved. If an enemy can be killed by the weaker gun, you use the weaker gun.
Again, by the end of the game I am loaded with junk and overpowered ammunition.

Collecting every weapon and usable item from fallen enemies even if I'm not gonna use them and then storing them in a footlocker somewhere. You never know when you're gonna need them (never). Also compulsive reloading and getting achievements/easter eggs in some games.

in RPGs my obsession is to pick up small meaningless items, promising myself i would sell them at a later time, alas i do not and they end up taking bag space.

Steal.

Everything.

Always end up with crates full of shit that I probably don't need later on, but GOD FUCKING HELP ME if you get between me and that fission battery I will fucking end you. I might need that shit to make a bomb or a nuclear powered dildo suit or something, I don't know!

If I'm playing New Vegas and there are several locations in a given area, I'll try to discover them before continuing on. That, and cleaning the red ticks off my compass. Is that a Fiend off in the distance? Not if my AM Rifle has something to say about it!

Minecraft: Always close the door behind me, make sure my chests are NEAT UND TIDY, and always keep the torches on the right! I also mine whatever ore vein I see, and I get pissed off if I can't get to it, don't have a pick/the right pick, and seeing uneven patches of water makes my teeth itch when I see it (You know what I mean).

Collecting every last secret, collectible or easter egg.

In minecraft ive started to develop little tics- I never leave doors open, mine all ore I come across (even ifs coal, which as of this moment i have 6 or 7 stacks of), no corridor or mine shaft of mine will ever have dirt or gravel visible and I religiously place torches every 3 block
Me too, yet somehow creepers STILL spawn in my mine. I thought they only spawned in the dark...
Also, I think I may need to reload my map, a 200x200 square pit straight down into the bedrock should at least yield SOMETHING of value but all I have to show for it is a little coal and enough cobble to build the Sears Tower. With stone furniture.
Try branch mining-its crazy efficient and nearly always will find you some diamond and gold-

EDIT=cant get the embed to work, so its gonna have to a straight link Im afraid-

Can't read through 7 pages to check if anyone else does this, but in shooters, backing up against a corner, then swinging the gun up and around as I progress, SWAT-style, has long been a compulsion of mine. It doesn't provide any tactical advantage and in same cases it actually becomes a burden.

But it looks cool from my end, so eh.

If ever theres fog of war, unrevealed territory or litteraly anything not visible on my map that shit has to be explored. To the point where i sometimes drag out singleplayer RTS maps for more than 30-40 min just to try and squeeze my units closer to a cliffwall and get that extra little view.

Hm...

- I save constantly. Quick saving does not count, and neither do auto-saves. It has to be a proper, God-fearing save.
- Unless the appropriate path is clear, I always explore to the right first.
- If the game permits it, I always shut doors behind me, as though NPCs might feel the draft.
- Oblivion turned me into an obsessive kleptomaniac. I find it hard to leave ANYTHING, no matter how worthless.
- I take usually 45 minutes to an hour to make a new character for a game. It came as a shock on ME2 when I just loaded my old Shepherd in and started playing straight away.
- As someone else said, I too am a jump-button-spammer, which is what happens when you first play a Khajiit in Oblivion.

one of the compulsive reloaders

also, if the weapons have a max ammo cap, will always play such that i'll always be full ammo, even if it means certain death.
