Strange things that get your blood boiling

Now we all have things in life that are (generally) universally blood boiling anger inducing...

That's not what we're here to complain about. I was listening to the radio earlier today when they played this sound clip:

(TLD...listen? Basically it's a show about an overly obsessive football coach for a 9 year old teams, including shouting at the kids, telling them to "Rip the other kids head off", and "I don't care if you don't get up, hit him".)

And that's the thing...there's no real good reason why this show pisses me off so much. We all know that it's reality TV (AKA "The Toilet of Television") and that it's more than likely not even half real.

However, as a coach of a U9 soccer team, this kind of show makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. It's disgraceful and everyone involved with this television show should hang their heads in shame for being involved. This isn't my usual "Reality shows are stupid" kind of hatred. I hate this show to it's very being. If I had to watch nothing but "Honey Boo Boo" crap on TV but it allowed this show to stop existing, I would strongly consider taking that bullet. I despise this show with every fiber of my being and hope that it's canceled before it even gets on air and the original copies are burned. Then burn the ashes of the originals just in case. Then burn that.

So Escapist, what has strangely pissed you off lately?

That doesn't seem like a strange thing to dislike, honestly. Most anything with the obvious target audience of stupid or ignorant people will get me angry, even though I know that they often hit their mark perfectly.

As for something unusual that I dislike, I would have to say it's people who talk in a movie theater... but during the commercials. I don't think that it's usually frowned upon, and I don't even care to watch the commercials either. But if you talk during one of those commercials I will personally think you are an asshole in everything you do in life. Be warned. Nobody is going to make noise to interrupt the zoning out I do during a soda ad.

Nobody.

Yeah, I don't think I explained the beginning well. I've added a lot more to describe my hatred for that show now that I hope will help clarify what I'm looking for.

Yeah, okay, that gets the point across a bit better. Still, you best make sure you don't talk during pre movie ads in theaters or I will find you and look at you with disapproval.

This probably sounds stupid, but I get extremely mad when I see people debating religion. I'm not a religious individual at all, but it upsets me when I see people from both sides spouting so many cruel comments to one another over their own personal beliefs and feelings. Let people believe what they want and shut up. Anytime I see a thread regarding such things I try not to open them, haha.

People wearing flip-flops or long-sleeved shirts(jackets and hoodies included) along with shorts piss me off to no end. The flip-flops because I find the noise they make maddening and borderline physically painful. And the long-sleeves with shorts makes no damn sense at all.

What if someone believes that God does not want them to get their kids vaccinated?

OT: One thing that always makes my blood boil is people not taking climate change seriously when it's brought up. Why don't people take it seriously? It doesn't make sense.

+1 on the flip-flop comment.

The most petty and inconsequential thing that annoys me is probably fan art in which characters are acting way out-of-character (see submissive/moe Satsuki Kiryuin, flip shit and riot). Somewhat applies to cosplayers who pose out-of-character but I usually don't care all that much unless it is an egregious example.

The rest of my silly annoyances result from the minor OCD symptoms I have. I don't like seeing hard objects stacked on top of soft objects, like clothes. I can't stand it when people set the volume to "bad" numbers (like 3, 7, 11, 13, 23, etc) on the radio, TV, or whatever. Also, any knotting or twisting in power cords (well, any cord really) even when it isn't a problem.

This very well may be lingering misogyny from my younger years, but I fucking hate Kim Possible. I don't know why either. On paper, I should like it. An ordinary human being fighting bad guys? Just like batman right? NOPE!

I think my whole irritation with it is just how perfect she is. She has no tragic backstory. She doesn't have to train hard or struggle with her social life. Theres no real reason why she's pegged to be the hero and no one ever worries about her.

It's irrational to the point that I'd love to read a fanfic or something where the bad guy just goes all Fumbles on her...

She makes her heroic entrance and POW! bullet to the throat. Kill Ron and the Molerat. No big speech. No climatic fight to the finish. Just quick, it's done, they're dead 5 minutes into the episode and the camera doesn't cut. The rest of the 20 minutes is just the camera staying on their corpses. Credits.

Fucking dark, but its what I think about every time I hear the song or GOD FORBID someone makes that distinct beep their text message sound.

Strange things... Strange things... I'm not entirely sure if this qualifies as strange, but I really don't like being ignored.

I'm pretty chill and don't even care very much when people are complete assholes to me. Unless there's someone that's physically trying to hurt me, I generally don't care. They're just words and I'm mostly just "Whatever, you're an asshole >:/"

What does infuriate me though is when people just straight up ignore me. Like I'm not even worth the time to hate.

I don't mean it in that I want attention, I'm quite content not being the center of attention, but just little other ways. Not sure exactly how to describe it exactly.

Like when I ask someone to do something and they say they will, but don't (instead of just saying no), or when I speak to someone and they just don't say anything (when its clear they've heard me). I had a close friend in High School who just stopped talking to me at all. He'd end every conversation as soon as possible ("politely") and never just say to my face that he didn't want anything to do with me anymore.

I could at least respect saying we weren't friends anymore.

Shit like that is infuriating, and a quick way to make me irrationally hate you xD

I don't know exactly why he did, but I think it was his girlfriend didn't like me, or something stupid. Being the slightly insecure moron I was in high school, I thought it was something I had done or was my fault.

...I guess that isn't very strange.

For something strange I do hate. It's stickers. I fucking hate how they feel and actually pushed my cousin over hard once when we were little because she put one on the back of my neck. She totally did it on purpose too, troll. XD

The word 'buddy'. Now not exactly blood boiling angry by any means. I grew up in an area where it is used as a hidden insult. This doesn't seem restricted to my area either. The English speaking community can't seem to agree on the functionality of the word. I hate not knowing what version people are using man.

That football video though.. really hate the way some people act over sports. Sports are meant to be fun, something to improve at for your own enjoyment. The world would be better off without professional sports or even professional gaming IMO. Judging peoples worth over an their ability to perform at a meaningless task is like insulting to win an argument.

People talking about history when they have no freaking clue. It irritates the crap out of me. No, what your high school teacher said five years ago is not a basis for a valid historical argument. Also, C-grade History Channel documentaries and Wikipedia are not considered authoritative. The sheer amount of historical ignorance (even within my relatively small area of expertise) is mind-boggling to me.

This in itself is disappointing. That being said, not everyone is into history which is totally fine. It is just when people go on forums and start arguing about historical events. I avoid historical threads for that exact reason. I can't stand reading all the flame wars between two completely ignorant people on opposite ends of the retardation spectrum. I very rarely post in any such threads, since on the internet there is really no way to beat down someone who steadfastly believes in some paranoid conspiracy theory or widely proliferated historical myth. At least in the real world I can just give them a D or F on their paper.

That is most definitely the 'strange thing' that gets me worked up.

That bugs the hell out of me too. Pants with a short sleeve shirt is fine, but a long sleeve shirt with pants just looks really off to me, and it bugs me. It seems so petty, but dammit it irks me.

While I didn't hate Kim Possible I can see where you're coming from. Kim was never shown training, she was never shown struggling with schoolwork or cheerleader practice (I don't even think she flubbed a single move or routine), she never got into arguments with her parents, teachers or friends and she was rarely (if ever) shown as being wrong about anything. And the same could be said for every female character that had than three lines per show (except for Bonnie), especially Shego (who was essentially an evil/villainous version of Kim).
Not only that, but nearly every major male character was either dangerously inept, highly immature, incredibly stupid or grossly out of shape (some were all of the above). The only male character that I can remember that was rational, sane and intelligent was the kid in the wheelchair (Felix I think).

What bugs me is some people who, when you're talking about something, turn around and make the topic about themselves. The funny thing is, it won't even be related to them. For example "Mmmm, I had vegemite on toast today". Answer - "Oh I remember the time I dated an Australian and his friend was hitting on me ... bla bla bla my life sucks". OH COME ON!

-Kim Possible snip-
Right before you gave your example, I thought about about this one online porn comic where Kim does NOT defeat the bad guy is instead gets raped and humiliated multiple times in front of her best friend Ron, her mother, and her two twin brothers... (And, I'm not going to lie, it was kinda hot...)

Also, I only like the show Kim Possible for Ron Stoppable... At least he has more flaws than Kim that strengthen his character development throughout the series... kind of... (This might just be the nostalgia talking...)

OT: Unexplained negativity... It's even worse when I read and/or hear about it right after enjoying the one thing that's getting the "unneeded" negative backlash with no excuses to back that negativity up in the long run...

I also seem to get pissed off with uneven grass... It's even worse when I just got done doing yard work, I put all of the equipment away, and I see an uneven patch of grass on the lawn... even if it's too small to notice upon first glance...

Oh Shego... I mean I didn't watch much at all of the show, but what I did she was a gem. The only beacon of light in the dark world that is Kim Possible

High temperatures. Holy shit, my blood boils when the rest of me is boiling.
OT: People on these sites acting as though one company/game etc is obviously bad and assuming no-one likes it. What if we do? Are we unintelligent for doing so?

Imagine for a moment that you are detective Adrian Monk. Your assistant is driving you home when you encounter a road with a black line between two white lines & it goes on forever. But this line is off to the side & not perfectly centered in the middle. WHY DOES THE LINE TAUNT ME?!

You know the song 'That Don't Impress Me Much' by Shania Twain?

No other song drives me this close to a rampage than this one.

[sub]What does impress you, you stupid *****?[/sub]
