I used to get paranoid about people talking about me at work behind my back... It got to the point where one time I heard some people talking about me late one evening and I looked around the filing cabinets to see who it was... there was no one else on the floor besides me, everyone had gone home.
Hallucinations are a sign of paranoia gone too far maybe.
Other than that i'm feeling paranoid right now as I just gave all my credit card details to someone in a chat window. Admittedly an https chat window with a Dell customer service operative but even so...

Whenever someone on my online messengers pops up, I have this unreasonable fear that they're tracking my screen and actions. Not that I'm doing anything grossly incriminating, but I just don't like it, and sort of watch what I do online until they go away...

Be not embarrassed! I do that voluntarily, and if anyone looks at me funny, I just revel in the fact that I just gave that person something to talk about when he/she gets home!
OT: I recently flipped my toenail and it hurt like a *****. Now I literally "watch my step."
I get strangely paranoid that I've have forgotten my keys, even though I always put them in the back pocket of the pants I will be wearing the next day. I still end up checking my back pocket twenty odd times a day to make sure that my keys are still there and have not magically vanished into an alternative dimension or something.
I get paranoid that I'm breathing awkwardly loud when I listen to music via headphones. I usually listen with one in and the other out.
Also, my friend thinks that turtles have a world-wide conspiracy going. She believes they can all move incredibly fast and are just fooling the world waiting for their opportunity to strike as if connected by some kind of hive-mind. No I'm not kidding.

I get paranoid that I forgot to lock the door at work when I have to close. I've actually gotten home, gotten ready for bed, crawled between the covers, then gotten to thinking, and ended getting up, getting dressed, and driving ten minutes back to work just to make sure I locked the door.
I get paranoid when I hear people laughing around me without knowing what they're laughing about. For some reason, I'm POSITIVE they're laughing at me because I'm showing some crack. No clue why.
I also have a really hard time being the one to start a conversation with someone on instant messenger, because I'm really paranoid about coming off as weird, desperate, and lonely.

When I think weird thougth-trains, I often stop myself with: ''Stop thinking, someone may listen in'''. I mostly do that to stop myself from thinking too weird, but still...

I'm paranoid of powercuts, doesnt matter where I am or what I'm doing I seem to be constantly on edge that the power will go out any second!
Also when I turn my back in the hallway at home at night, I head downstairs to get a drink before heading back up to bed most nights, I mean I was just looking down there, I know nothing is down there, I will turn around in a moment to head back the way I came and there will be nothing there... and yet for that moment when I turn my back I think something is going to come out of the darkness behind me, makes me run a little back upstairs to my bedroom when I'm done
