This is perfect. I'd totally pay to watch a full length movie made this way. See, the thing nobody seems to realize is that a Street Fighter movie doesn't actually need any more plot than the Street Fighter games have. In fact, why even make a story? Just use the cannon version of events from the games, and have 75 of the 90 minutes be taken up by the fighting. That would be awesome.

It was cool but still nothing on the Sagat/Ryu showdown at the start of the anime movie, ot the Chun Li/Vega one. See there are some good stretfighter movies.

The animated movie is pretty much this extrapolated into a full film (except animated of course). Brilliant fight scenes, faithful representation of the characters and absolutely no plot whatsoever.

Really nice job done there. More power to such people and movies would be actually good again :D

If I were the maker of street fighter and I saw this I'd give this man anything and everything he needed to make a full feature film...

Pants-crappingly epic.

so why is it so hard for a writer to just straight up write a movie about ryu's quest for greatness and have the vision to make the fights like what we have seen from this thread? i mean really is it that difficult of a premise to say Ryu would fight all the old timer SF characters every time he shows up in a different country?

I saw this a while ago on The Awesomer. It's awesome no matter how many times I watch it. I have never actually seen a Street Fighter movie (because they sucked) nor have I been into Street Fighter, but I know enough about it to know that this movie is far superior to all other Street Fighter movies.

That was one of the best fight scene's I've seen.

Doubt Hollywood would give them money for a movie after the other SF movies.
Shame to, since nothing can be worse than the other movies.

Well except a Bay film...

Well, to be entirely fair that was awesome for a fan made movie, but I think it would actually be worse than the other SF movies if a feature length movie was done to that quality.

The Choreography was great, but the special FX were pretty bad, as were Ryu's eyebrows. :p

Best Street Fighter bit ever! Though the original Street Fighter animated movie is good in my opinion as well.
The original SF2 anime movie? Hell yea. That one is awesome.
In fact, I would say that it's probably the best video game based movie of all time.

See, why do things like "Mansquito" get funding instead of this stuff? That Street Fighter short was pure gold.

Very nice.. except for the fireball. Throwing them looked ackward, as did the multiple hit block (it would have been much better if he just blocked it once, or even got hit by it and got back up). And for anyone saying that a great Street Fighter movie has never been made, go watch the Street Fighter animated movie. Kickass fights, major attention to character (without feeling the need to give every single character an actual "speaking part") and a storyline that fleshes out the SF storyline without going overboard into crap Hollywood land.
