For those who thought this was going to be an opportunity for a TSA rant, Stripsearch is a Penny Arcade reality TV program produced by the Loading Ready Run guys (with Graham as host!) about comic artists competing for a chance to work at Penny Arcade. It's almost nothing like what I traditionally associate with Penny Arcade or Loading Read Run. It can be found here:

So what do people think? I come from a social group that traditional dumps a heap of scorn on all reality TV (except the Apprentice) so it's a bit weird to see the PA and LRR people do one straight up, but webcomics aren't as tacky as some of the normal reality TV and it's turning out to be surprisingly interesting and it's fascinating to watch how quickly and skillfully some of these artists operate. The first real challenge (Ep 3) had them create and draw an original t-shirt design in 1 hour and there was some really impressive work (and the winners work is currently available from the PA store.

I can't believe the 2 nicest people went up for elimination first. I really dug Katie's design (although it should have been pink and purple= and thought it was competing for one of the best. And unlike most, it was actually creative. Alex's was weaker, but the person with the hyphened shirt should have been up there with him. And it was more than a little cruel having the winner pick the losers. I would have been glad not to win.
