Well... perhaps I should take this sticker off my mirror then.

Kinda gives me away. Though, I haven't gotten a ticket yet. So perhaps I shall keep it.

Seriously though, I hope they controlled for other variables, like age.

This isn't a study, it's a survey. Gamasutra had the professionalism of stating that fact, why couldn't the Escapist do the same? Although a lot of people are taking offense at this, the numbers observed here are the results of gamers themselves giving these answers. Besides, the title was already being overtly negative, almost begging the commenters to rage over this.

Maybe, just MAYBE there could be a causality between risk management and games. This could not be proven right, but there are more and more observations saying there COULD be. For instance, in the US army, they observed that in Iraq, the gamers among the soldiers seemed to endanger themselves more often. After all, yes we can tell the difference between games and reality, but hours upon hours of gaming can certainly alter our reflexes when we need to act fast.

Maybe we should man up and admit that it might be a problem, and offer preventive solutions rather than go defensive. After all, would it hurt gamers that bad to be told every once in a while to be more careful since we can't respawn? And the pill would be much easier to swallow if it came from another fellow gamer, rather than from a prejudiced baby boomer with absolutely no clue about gaming.

Any other questions?
Yeah. Which one of those links says what the hell a prang is, as related to driving?
The very first one is a definition, it's a small crash.

I live in Erie and can drive in the winter. I'm good at driving, and the only racing game I play is Mario Kart (I mostly stick to Action/Adventure and Third Person Shooters)

Since the study was done in the UK, I doubt it applies to me. See, I'm an excellent driver, who happens to play the occasional racing game. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to clean neighborhood children out of my grill...
UK driver, passed my test 1st time and a good driver. However I don't play driving games, makes ya think.

For all the confused people out there:
Prang = small crash (fender benders, rear ending, crashing into inanimate objects etc.) Basically any crash that doesn't result in a fatality.
