And I think I never quite said anything to the contrary of what you wrote here, just that the bandwagon part tends to only go downhill.Denamic said:I think you don't quite know what a 'meme' is.
It's a meme precisely BECAUSE people jump the bandwagon. Also, it's the repeated use that lack creativeness, not the memes themselves. Well, they might be, but it's inaccurate and frankly unfair to say such about all of them. They might have been created by someone unintentionally and might actually be really clever, in which case it'd be pretty douchy to say it's shit just because other people like to spread it.
Additionally, memes aren't just pictures and phrases spread online; but any idea that's spread socially by popularity. For instance, the word 'bandwagon', or rather its use outside of referring to an actual bandwagon, is a meme. Hell, religion is a meme.
Captcha for this one is "Civil War." Funny, captcha.FalloutJack said:"Texas is going to secede from the nation!"
My girlfriend told me that one first, though she overblew the severity of the issue a little. Now that I read about it, I can see clearly that it is ridiculous and foolhardy, not to mention unworkable IF anyobody let them. So, on that note, I'm already fed up with it and the reasons behind it.
My message to secessionists: GET OVER YOURSELVES.
Thank you. This has been a public service.
That's very presumptuous of you.Overusedname said:The words of someone who hasn't been looking for a job lately.Colour-Scientist said:Well, with that attitude, I wouldn't want you working for me either!Overusedname said:And yes, it's entirely their fault. yea, I wish i knew just how important experience was when i was in college. I would have pushed for internships a hell of a lot more.Colour-Scientist said:That's very presumptuous of you.Overusedname said:The words of someone who hasn't been looking for a job lately.Colour-Scientist said:Well, with that attitude, I wouldn't want you working for me either!Overusedname said:And yes, it's entirely their fault. Actually I have and have had three offers in the last two weeks. I have quite a good CV though, when you don't have experience you have to completely sell yourself with your attitude.
This, I fucking love uni, but only because I put so much effort into socialising in addition to working.Reginald the Butler said:Thank you! OT: I'm fed up with people bitching about college/university (not sure which word is preferred outside the US). Nobody is forcing you to be there, and all your whining isn't helping. Again, it's not perfect, but college is what you make it.
...If this is from what I think it is...I literally love you haha. Laughed so hard<3.teebeeohh said:i fed up with dis world, everyone betray me.
I'm glad you clarified the first sentence there as something you're fed up with. I totally thought about setting fire to you. I hate that I have every transferable skill known to man but because I have no experience then the people that left school at 16 to work on an ASDA checkout have better prospects than I do.Yopaz said:You're just lazy and picky. There are plenty of jobs out there, you just need to lower your standards.TopazFusion said:The job market. It fucking sucks.
Unemployment is high, and there's absolutely no job security.
Yeah, that attitude is what I'm fed up with. I've had my resumé done by professionals, written close to 40 applications in 2 weeks to different companies looking for people and 2 job interviews and no job came out of hours of work. Now that is reason on its own to get pissed, but when people on the internet who doesn't know me claim that the reason I can't get a job is because I'm lazy then I get really pissed. The job market sucks and it's hard to get a job unless you have experience and you can't get experience if you can't get a job.
I wish you the best of luck getting a job, personally I gave up for the time and decided to live on my student loan rather than getting a part time job.
Most Atheists are not very vocal. It's just like any religion, there are a few people who are extremely vocal and try to jam their beliefs down your throat. I myself am Atheist and my mindset when it comes to religion is: whatever floats your boat.el_kabong said:Atheists talking and preaching at people with the fervor of Evangelical Christians. Can't you just be smug in private and not have to condescend to everyone who may have any of their beliefs rooted in the religious/spiritual/paranormal/magical?
Look to the agnostic. Live and let live.
Agree so damn much.Vault101 said:Negativity

I'm not saying everything is good or you have to live everything...but the whole Idea of "wait and see" seemed to have been lost...
