Uh... Trends....

Emo-ism.

Yes.

Okay. If you all want to kill yourselves, why is there a culture based on you and yet, when you deny that you're 'emo', you just try to play up the drama. I know they're really faux emo in common society, but it's just sad.

Kick a bag?
Fun.
Well, to be fair, you can keep them in your pocket and whip them out whenever. Very fun.

Dear lord, gelled hair. I can't even imagine why you would want that sticky goop in your hair. Makes it all hard and grimy, and... bleck.
Mister Fonzerelli begs to differ.
I agree with you there, except with emo-music. I happen to love any emo-music, especially Evanescence.

As for trends that are stupid, I would say Pokemon (except for the very first games), and Yu-Gi-Oh.

Non-conformity. If you just ARE to be a non-conformist that's one thing, but people who intentionally TRY to be non-conformist are just as stupid as everyone who goes to see Pirates of the Caribbean because Orlando Bloom is just that dreamy... or for any other reason.

What about people who mindlessly conform because they are afraid of new things? They are almost as bad as the intentional non-conformists.

Dumbest trends tend to be copy cat threads: Your favorite "insert shit here", which I have regretably been apart of.

Another trend is the opposite thread: This was posted first http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.86880
Then this was posted

I must say I also hate that shit.

Also, I believe that in an earlier incarnation of this thread I responded along the lines of:

Hating Jews. Oh wait, that's not quite over yet. Shit.

I'm not sure if it's a trend but it sure is just as irritating.
Pseudo-Intellectuals who get off on talking out of their ass about things they have no earthly idea how to begin to comprehend. There is nothing more annoying than being locked into a verbal war with someone who is so convinced their right about something they have no clue about, and not being able to literally just choke them till they shit.
Me too.

obsessed star wars and linkn park fan boys I don't know about you but when I was going to high school I had several of these it was entirely irritating because if you dared say there may be a better movie or band you were an instant moron who's opinion no longer counted for anything

People who think halo is shit because it's popular/doesn'tdoanythingnew/PC FPS's are so much better/etc.

Halo is a good game. Enough with the being petty because your parents bought you Sonic instead.
Compared to PC games? It might've been a good game if it came out in 2003, with the Xbox version. In 2005 it was meh.

Halo 2 requires vista, which was and still is bad for any gamer.

North Face fleece wear. I understand that they're comfortable, but it is one of the trendiest trends on college campuses ever. Also, jeans or sweats tucked into snow boots during the winter. Just for the hell of it, I'll throw Pokemon cards out there too. And I don't know about everybody else, but my grade school went through a yo-yo trend years ago, as well.
Well about tucking pants into boots: I do that but its because where I live there is a lot of snow and I don't like getting snow in my boots.

That one song that tells you the steps. I think a line went "To the left, take it back now (forgot word here)."

I hate that song. Probably not a trend so I'll agree with anything Disney has done.

Ebonics.
Tight pants.
Wearing pants so that half your ass is sticking out. No one wants to see that.
Talking about 4chan memes and thinking you're awesome for it.
Using "fail" as a noun, instead of "failure" (e.g. "That was such a fail.")
Can't believe it didn't cross my mind- Twilight.

I'll probably think of some more later, whatever.

Oh, and I don't see what's the problem with Uggs. *shrug*
