I had a thought of complaining about this thread. I guess that would've been a ridiculous complaint.
But generally saying, all the complaints about First World Problems are hilarious, like these:

As has been said, people complaining about the lack of "realism" in games not even trying to be realistic. If I'm storming the beach on D-Day in [insert WWII title]], and suddenly Hitler shows up and clears the beach with a giant robot spider firing lasers, then you can complain. If you complain about a lack of realism in Halo/Doom/Mass Effect/Kirby, then you need to get your head examined.

For me, hearing someone complain that there was no block button in Godhand and thus the game was broken/impossible.
Pretty much everything about Dragon Age II other than the copy/paste dungeons. That one is a legit complaint, but all the others are dumb imo.
Also, a good majority of the complaints in the Mojang Vs. [insert developer here] threads for March Mayhem. Both sides of the arguments have their good points, but both also have had some of the dumbest complaints ever. (e.g. Minecraft is bad because of graphics)

i had a coworker who never heard of anything. i'd mention something in the news, say, libya or charlie sheen or inception or whatever, and he'd say "no idea, never heard about it. i don't have cable." best part is, i work at a retailer where we literally have hundreds of magazines, dozens covering all these subjects, not to mention video games, movies, music etc. there's copies of the new york times in plain sight to all customers, yet this guy apparently knows nothing about anything cause he doesn't have cable television?

Nice try juxtaposing a very old DOS game with ME2 graphics and taking me way too literally when I use point and click adventures as an example (it's okay, you might appeal to some slightly more impressionable people with this exaggeration). Think, in ME2, between the story bits - is usually a massive slab of 'move from point A to point B' and wave your gun in the enemy's general direction and spray, or just end everything with biotic powers - it feels like this action has just been cut and pasted in rather than anything particularly integral to the gameplay itself.
My point actually was - in ME2, given the combat is the way it is, I felt you may as well just WATCH the combat and then make the important decisions during the actual story itself. Sure it won't be the same game, but I can imagine ME2 to be played in a very different way than you and possibly a lot of other people. In the end I just found that the action in the game could have been a lot more than what it is, rather than the very 'in-between-I'm-Gears-Of-War-But-Not" action - and for me, either you make a game focus on something and do it very well, or consider not putting it in or rethink it because it's not bringing the game to its full potential.
Oh, and way to go on the insults - surely you must be right because of that and I'm sorry that I forgot I wasn't entitled to my opinion.

Oh we had a very...spirited...debate over the whole thing. Apparently crouching behind a wall to regain health is more realistic than some kind of armoured rechargable suit because while crouching behind the wall apparently a soldier can pull bullets out of himself...lacktheknack said:

I have my own stupid complaint: I refuse to play Call of Duty on the PS3 because the bumper and trigger assignments from the 360 are swapped on L1/L2 and R1/R2. It's a minute switch, I know, but I don't own a PS3, so I was pissed to no end when I'd kill myself with a grenade when trying to fire. It's more of a pet peeve than a complaint, but so is the concept of removing custom layouts. I also believe that if Call of Duty prides itself on being "realistic," the you would pull a trigger to shoot a gun and not tap a button.
Example:
Xbox 360: LB = Secondary Grenade, RB = Frag, LT = Aim, RT = Fire
PS3: L1(LB) = Aim, L2(LT) = Secondary Grenade, R1(RB) = Fire, R2(RT) = Frag
