That depends on the strength of the EMP. If it isn't too strong all it would do is fuck with the circuitry and not necessarily fry it.

Yes! It definitely is. The whole "a long time ago" thing now makes total sense - the eventual fate of the Millenium Falcon is to crash land on Earth for us to find eons later!

Honestly if this does turn out to be some kind of UFO thing I'd be incredibly psyched. I mean, who wouldn't be? I'm really hoping that it does, although all logic dictates that it won't be and that it's just some random sediment and they're playing it up to get more funding.

Still, one can dream, no?

Actaully, in one comic the millenium falcon crashed on Earth, and Han was killed by Native Americans. So George Lucas may actaully be some immortal, God-like being trying to make millions by writing about his old life. I bet the next Star Wars installment will introduce his role in things. You can't have a "UFO like object." A UFO is an unidentified flying object and not something with any form of standard appearance or behavior--a dog with a jetpack that you cannot make out in the sky is a UFO. Moreover, unidentified is an absolute term, meaning something either is or isn't and not "kind of."
