Isaac was right behind Aza. "Uh get the fuck out of here I was hoping. But it's never that easy now is it?"
The sralium talons on Vfraar's biotic feet did a fine job of anchoring him to the floor as he pounded along the hallway towards the shuttle bay. The few mutants that they encountered along the way obviously were not used to Zero-G, and thus were easy to take out. As he neared the shuttle bay door, he checked his HUD, seeing a mass of red dots inside.
"We have baddies in the shuttle bay. I'd estimate around thirty." he said into the communicator as Issac and Aza arrived behind him. "The shuttle's condition is unknown." Leaning against the wall, he continued to examine the map. One of the dots looked a lot bigger than the rest. "Captain, I think that Brute is still in there. I would suggest trying for a different shuttle, but we only have three minutes till the detonation. As it is, we're just gonna have to charge in there, guns blazing, and hope at least one of us makes it to the shuttle to fly that thing out."
He checked his rifle, switching it to full auto then waited a few moments for everyone to catch up. The wounded Rezzea in particular worried him. "Alright, everyone cover their quadrants, I'll take point, Rezzea you stay in the middle with the Captain. Shoot everything that moves and don't stop for anything." He turned to the door as everyone got into position.
"Regrel, smoke bomb if you please."

Rezzea steadied herself and checked her mag. It was empty.
"Shit!" She moaned as she replaced the mag in a hurry.
"Ready as ever captain, nanobots are taking into place, I can stay in the rear and cover you"
She cocked the gun and pointed it downwards with her good arm. Face was eager but her state of mind was 'Fuck mutants up now, worry about injuries later'

I kind of figured she was leaning against him, the way one would support thier drunken buddy back to his car, or somebody with a sprained ankle
Zeredare placed a fresh clip inside of his rifle, ejecting the spent one as he did so. He leaned up against the wall adjacent to the door, preparing to breach the bay once Regrel had thrown the smoke grenade."Alright everyone, even though the ship lost power, the bay's energy barrier still remains up. Zeredare was cut short by the noise of metallic scrapping and screaming coming from the bay. Gunfire filled the room as the death screams of mutants were cut short by the sound of flesh rendering and tearing. "VEREV!" The sudden piercing scream echoed from the bay, managing to be louder than the machine gun-fire.
"Well...this doesn't sound like it's going to end well..."

Rezzea quickly looked up, face pale, hair flying everywhere and eyes wide.
"What in the name of plasma rifles was that!?"
She said and groaned.
"Great, alright, how about this tactic.. Me and Aza run straight to the left, rest of you straight to the right, draw fire and spread out, Aza will use his mobility to sneak into our shuttle and fire it up, if there are any more, I will support him from behind, I can take position behind storage containers I found when we first landed..."
She adjusted her hair from her face and looked at everyone, finally coming to a halt at Zer.

Taking point by the door frame, Regrel grabbed a smoke bomb from his belt. The automatic zero-G field had taken affect on the now glowing blue grenade. Placing his hand on the door switch, Regrel prepared for action when...

The Grel lowered his arm, his ears pricked, his eyes narrowed, still gripping the grenade very tightly. Whatever that was it didn't sound like anything he'd heard before. Unnaturally hesitant, Regrel turned his head to the others.
"Your orders Sir?"

Vfraar listened intently for a moment, before replying to Rezzea's idea. "No, the best plan of action would have been to simply get to the shuttle as fast as possible, without meddling along the way and prolonging our time on board. But now..." he looked at Zeradare. "What do you think that was, captain? Should we continue?" he glanced at the time. "We have two minutes to detonation."
I'm sorry about the inconsistency of my updates as of late, but I have been under too much stress lately. Friends moving away, midterms coming up, being overwhelmed with assignments, and a ton of shit my parents are making me do, have all got in the way of my posting capability. So I'm placing this on hold until Monday(or Tuesday), sorry about the inconvenience.
