Hack//sign. Evangelion (Stay away from Rebuild though, it dumbs it down way too much).

Blassreiter.

Azumanga Daioh.

Lucky Star. Clannad (Definitely, only anime to bring me to the brink of tears).

Air Gear (Screw everyone else, I like it, they discontinued the anime but the manga is still going).

El Cazador de la Bruja.

Noir.

Angelic Layer (If you can find it).

Cardcaptor Sakura.

Baccano! (Good selling point of this anime is that there isn't any one main protagonist, they've all got a story).

Blue Gender.

Big O.

Mai Hime.

Haruhi Suzumiya (During the second season, after you watch the second episode, skip right to episode nine, because 3-8 are all repeats of episode 2, literally the exact same things happen, right down to identical dialogue, there's a reason, just not a very good one)

Code Geass, just go watch it now, though many say it went downhill in season 2 I say they've got their heads shoved so far up their asses that they're in danger of choking on their necks.

Alternately you could get to watching Brotherhood

And I say you must have stopped watching at R2 18. Code Geass has an absolutely awful ending.

Granted, the writing wasn't exactly stellar to begin with (in fact it was fucking insane) but it was at least FUN.
I happened to like the ending.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Eureka 7
Gurren Langann
Bakemonogatari
Eden of the East
Code Geass
Cowboy Bebop
Death Note
Elfen Lied
Macross(all of it)
Gundam 00
Baccano!

That should keep you busy for a while. If you want a series that is airing right now, Durarara!!, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu are all awesome series.

Ah, lets see. I actually haven't watched any anime in like a year.

Nabari no Ou
Inukami (Hilarious)
Code Geass
Kaze no Stigma (God I haven't thought about this one in years.)
Black Lagoon (Awesome awesome awesome.)
D. Gray-Man (Wonder if they've started up episodes again? They took a break for a long while. Its a shame the author got sick, its an amazing series both in the manga and the anime.)
Gurren Lagann (Incredible series.)
History's Greatest Disciple Kenichi

That depends on what you want to watch, again...

Comedy: Azumanga Daioh (Be prepared for some rather dumb humor, but I find it amusing)

Action: Cowboy Bebop/Outlaw Star/Samurai Champloo

Ninjaz: Ninja Scroll

Similar to DBZ: Naruto or Inuyasha

Also...Watch some episodes of Samurai Jack of you want a good animated series to enjoy. You probably won't regret it.

However, this is just my opinion...

One thing that another one of my friends, along with some people here, has suggested has been Naruto. I personally dont like the look of it but my friend said that if i liked Bleach i would like Naruto.

Also i know Cowboy Bebop is popular but what is it about?
