Because healthy activity means more than just physicality? Oh no, I'm not saying that physicality isn't important, but mental stimulation is very, and perhaps ultimately more, important to a kid's life. Out of curiosity, would you criticize an art camp of the same thing, Mr. Reimer?

Yep, the fact that people have been obese forever doesn't change the fact that excessive video game use (excluding games that are physically active) and other sedentary activities could easily be linked to obesity.


That does not change the fact that what he said is extremely excessive and ignores moderate use and the fact that many games being encouraged are physically active. Furthermore, it ignores the other benefits that video games provide. Reading books can be done in moderation, and is healthy, so is playing video games.
