Lol at your reaction!

I've used a 686 Gold E before, thought it was very well balanced. We also have a semi-auto shotgun, a .22LR carbine (semi-auto with a 25round magazine, lots of fun), and a .22 air rifle which is older than me.

I've always been interested in history though, so my father recently bought a 1920's vintage .303 Lee Enfield, can't wait for that to be delivered.

I live in Northern Ireland though, not sure if anything is different between here and England, but you can get anything within reason.

I own some nice sunglasses (Oakleys & some converted vintage Ray-Bans) and like to wear good ones when its sunny.
Ooo, Oakleys, fancy stuff... my latest pair are Oakleys that cost a pretty penny, but definitely worth it.
I got mine in Vegas a few years back after some good results.

Oddly enough my girlfriend thinks I look like Stevie Wonder in them. But I'm too busy being awesome to notice the criticism.

What type did you go for?

Heh!

Yeah, mine aren't sunglasses per se, since they're from Oakley's prescription specs range, but they sit very close to the eyes without being uncomfortable and have swanky earpieces! It's rather hard for me to do my 'condescending look over the rim of my glasses'-thing...(!)

I tend only wear them on holiday, but I like wearing them however the glorious English weather does not lend itself to sunglasses.

Though I really need to a pair for driving. The sun in your eyes constantly on long trips is a pain.

Can't say I hate them but they're way too expensive. I wish I could pay $10 for a pair instead of the ridiculous amount for prescriptions. Transitions would be nice but they don't help when you're driving.

I used to wear them as a kid but not anymore. I don't hate them I just don't have a reason to buy one especially when I am wearing glasses already (in which case I haven't opted for the sunglasses lens). I suppose I may reconsider since these days if my eyes are expose to birght lights for too long they do feel sore later on.

Sure, I have a pair of ray-bans. It's nice to have on the sunny days so your eyes won't hurt. And it looks good on you as well.

60's rim Ray-Ban Wayfarers, can't venture into the daylight without them. I have a pair of Clubmasters too, but I haven't worn them in quite some time.

I spent the first 25 years of my life with severe short-sightedness so that I could never get (nice) prespription sunglasses.

After i had laser eye surgery and 20/20 vision I went out and bought the nicest pair I could find, Metallic Revos with Polarized lenses.

I have some Oakley prescriptions as well!
I'm a contact lens person per habit, but on days where I'm not doing anything, or feel tired, the glasses come in very handy.
They're the comfiest glasses I've ever worn as well, by a mile.

I approve of sunglasses. They help to stop me from being blinded or dazzled by the sun (or it reflecting off of other surfaces).

While I don't wear them for vanity purposes, I do like to have sunglasses which suit my face. *nodnod*

The fact that they're transitions as well = x2 coolness!

For me, they were rather uncomfortable when I first wore them, because I wasn't used to the sort of wrap-around ear-pieces (they just exert slight pressure on the side of the head to stay in place) but they didn't take much getting used to. Now, when I need to use my spare specs (for whatever reason), good lord am I grateful when I put the Oakley's back on.

I love sunglasses, and they're kinda required to wear them where I live since everything gets so damn bright, especially in the summer.

My sunglasses are awesome, and the only thing I don't like about them is that I wear glasses, so I have to switch back and forth between glasses just to wear them. I've tried uses the transition ones, but they kinda suck and take forever to switch between dark and non-dark.

Though I really don't like the big Hollywood Diva bug-eye glasses, that style with the big plastic rims are about the only sunglasses I've encountered that can stand up to all the abuse I put them through, and don't set me back $100+ when I inevitably lose them.

I like them, but since I have to wear glasses, no sunglasses for me. T_T

I wear some generic kind of aviators, for I can spend 6+ hours a day in the sun for drum line, and I dislike having to squint all the time.
I also chose aviators for the aesthetic of them, instead of normal shades--I gotta look the drummer part.

I have a big-brimmed sun hat, but I don't want to bother with the expense of prescription sunglasses. I have some cheapo clip-over shades that can attach to my current glasses, but I've only used those on backpacking trips.

I have dry eyes, so wind/air conditioning/bright sunlight/etc can be quite uncomfortable. Consequentially, I wear sunglasses all the time, regardless of the weather. A cold, dark windy day I need them even more than a bright sunny one. I do get some looks, and occasional comments, but I usually get the satisfaction of shaming them with the knowledge I have an eye disease.

Generally speaking, sunglasses are a good idea though. You don't really realize HOW bright it can get outside until you start wearing sunglasses. Saves wear and tear on the old eyeballs. Might not seem important at 20, but you'll be thankful for it later on.

I'd wear sunglasses more if I could find a pair of Lennon style shades but I like the eye protection; sometimes I stay up too late and make my eyes sensitive so shades are useful
