His description of the humor style and how hard it is to pull off naturally made me think of the N64-era Rareware titles like Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day, and more recently the No More Heroes games.

Regardless, this game sounds fun. Glad they accidentally confirmed it as being soon to migrate to the PC.

I'm glad to hear that this game is being received well. I happen to be picking this game up soon actually, as I'm going to be purchasing the Crystal White Xbox One bundle which comes with Sunset Overdrive this week, so it's a relief that my starting game will be a blast of fun.

Then again, it's always looked like a blast of fun from the get go, and even if it didn't come bundled with the Xbox One I was going to be getting, I'd likely have gotten it at some point. Sunset Overdrive was one of the four games that interested me enough into getting an Xbox One, so looking forward to it. Also, great review, the criticisms were understandable, but how they also could be put to the side in favour of focusing on the positives was also well explained.

Been keeping my eye on this (though to fair I keep my eye on most exclusives due to their nature) and that is some good things to read.
Just need more to keep coming though if isn't actually an exclusive than...well it gets disqualified and Microsoft have to earn that point back.

They deny it now:

But where have we heard that before?

Poor Microsoft, can barely keep their hostages exclusives in check.
Oh boy when I read that...rumor I suppose would be the best way to put it elsewhere I just knew I was going to be reading that exact post here. Predictabo.
That isn't to say that it won't happen (might well) but lets not take rumors as fact until it happens.

Trust you to show up in time to throw negativity onto anything good they get just like Twink and the Nintendo Amiibo thread.
No kidding about that Twink character. Then again the post history of people like that is very telling of how empty of lives they must lead. Most of the time its like their sole purpose is to be negative.
I see those sort of folk on the internet in regards to wrestling all the time, gaming is no different. People if they hate something will selectively hear/read things, ignore anything positive, and consistently talk about how everything is going just as they say and want.
In regards to wrestling if you believed them the crowd was in total silence for whoever they hate (reality: they were cheering loudly), if you believe those sorts in gaming (especially when it comes to consoles because its apparently a cool thing to hate) than you'd think this generation must surely be the worst selling generation ever (reality: Best selling initially and likely even of all time if they can carry on track).

I'd imagine so, for him PC news is good news, anything consoles get or has and it has to be made negative, stay around for a while and you'll see a reply to my quote above and how telling that will be because I guarantee you the one I quoted takes the same path Twink does and the reply will be full of empty wit in order to avoid mod wrath but this time I'll actually get a mod on the line to read the well thought out wit, due to the way the rules are enforced it's forced some unfriendly users to resort to hiding their snide with clever witty remarks or replies which is exactly what I'm expecting from who I quoted.

I'd like to expect civility but that isn't going to happen.
Strelok doesn't respond to people who have disagreed with him in the past, just giving you a heads up. His justification is the ever so blunt "you're an idiot and I don't want to waste time talking to idiots" (paraphrasing here, but that was what he essentially told me). Reality is a lot of his posts contain statements that can be disproved with a simple Google search, if common knowledge doesn't discern it's real form from the get go. Best not to draw attention to them and all that.

Well he is free to say what he likes even if that involves some...questionable things that had to be moderated. I always feel there is something I have to apologise for due to the level of hate levied my way, but he doesn't let me know what the issue is.
Feel free to drop me a PM on what it is, we can sort it out I'm sure. PMs are nicer that way.

I like how Nintendo has basically repeated last gen by creating a nice ideal for gaming be "Your main platform + The Nintendo platform".
Nintendo are excellent for doing that. People always bring up third party AAA games but Nintendo has done without them for ages. Nintendo doesn't need to court them when a lot of their customers (especially as time goes on) are going to be multiplatform.

Being a Japanese company (or more having a stake in that still important Japanese market) really helps in increasing the value of your console. Microsoft really should have funded a huge amount of studios (as in owning them fully) to make exclusive content to counteract that, but that'd take serious dosh, time, and is hampered by the fact it should have been done years ago.

In fact that sounds like the perfect face turn for Microsoft, it'd mean a trip to the midcard but that is what they need to do.
